Danny bit his lip, his expression drawn and thoughtful, but he nodded when Khasekhemwy spoke of Birch. She'd said much the same when he'd asked her about it, that she was far too inexperienced to be able to pinpoint anyone with any kind of reliability, but... He couldn't help but wish she'd been able to. Of course, with the Ancient Creature still at full force there wasn't much she could do anyways, but Danny felt his grief for his father like an open wound. It hadn't helped to lose Ellie as he had, and then to see the pain his favorite (and only) sister was going through. There was a part of him that would always hold Castiel to a level of impossible nobility and greatness that no living person was capable of achieving - it was what made him work so hard, made him constantly strive for success - and that part of Danny was so certain, so absolutely sure, that Castiel would be able to fix everything for all of them. Danny hunched his shoulders in an unconsciously protective sort of movement, as if warding off the pain and anxiety, but glanced up again as Khasekhemwy hesitated. Was there something more? Something else?

Mallos? Danny hadn't had much to do with the man; he'd seen him from afar, talking with Thoth and Tristan and sometimes the clingy Grimbaud, but he'd never actually talked with the man before. There was something about him that intimidated the hell out of the boy, even though he knew Mallos would never hurt someone his age. But Morgana? Now she was someone he could talk to. Even though she was noble, she was... different. No nonsense, but at the same time compassionate. He nodded in agreement, only half-listening to Khase's warning in a most uncharacteristic moment, as his mind made up plans to meet with Morgana as soon as he could. Sol's not-so-gentle bite of his shoe dragged him back to the present. Knowing he wouldn't get much further on this line of thought, and desperate for a distraction, Danny turned his attention back to the workbooks. Surely there was something they could work on.

Khasekhemwy's suggestion managed to pull Danny from the dark depths of his mind, an actual smile curving on his face as he nodded eagerly. Architecture was a brand new topic for him, and his eager mind latched on to the idea quickly. And, of course, he'd never turn down an opportunity to hang out at the Pantheon, having only been there a few times. Speaking of the Pantheon...

"That would be great, sayedy. I don't know much about diving architecture at all," Danny said eagerly. Then, after a second, he added. "Do you know if a'am has recovered yet, sir? I went to visit him after everything happened with the Ancient Creature. I know the others are beginning to recover, but I haven't heard anything about him yet."
