Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.
What do we say to the god of death? Not today. |
_________________________________________________________________________ The femme watched her pawsteps carefully, knowing that one wrong move could mean her death. While that thought might scare others it thrilled Nymeria. Where was the fun in life if there was no danger? She had left the territory of Moondown Shadows for the time being, wanting to explore more of her home and to get away from her annoying sister of course. Anytime she could have away from Lady was a time she enjoyed. The friendly and boisterous femme loved the company of others, but she would always prefer being alone over being with her sister. Lady would just bug her, tell her to clean her coat or something stupid and ‘lady-like’. The thought of her sister made her think of home and her mother, and how displeased her mother would be with how Nymeria had been acting lately. But the young teen could care less. The thing she really cared about was her brother, the brother she had not seen in so long and she didn’t know if he was even alive still. But she did not want to think about Ghost right not, or any other members of her family. That would just make her sad and she didn’t want to be sad right now, didn’t want to dwell on things she had no control over. That’s what Lady always did and it drove the younger femme crazy. So with a shake of her head Nymeria bounded off, heading in some random direction up the cliff, making sure to still be careful where she stepped. The fae practiced her balance, leaping from rock to rock, paws and claws landing carefully with each leap, climbing higher and higher up the cliff. As she came to a particularly steep part she peered down, realizing how high she was her stomach dropped for a moment, ”Fear cuts deeper than swords.” The comforting vocals of her trainer rang in her ears and she turned her head back towards the sky, deciding the adventure would just get better if she continued up the cliff. With determination Nymeria scrambled up the rock, her claws digging into the gravel to get better grip and keep her from falling. As she pulled herself up onto a rock she was panting, kicking up dirt and getting her gray and white fur dusty and she smiled even more at the thought of how annoyed Lady would be at the site. As the teen neared the top of the cliff the scent of another lupine reached her nares and she paused for a moment, wondering if it would be a friendly or hostile wolf. She cocked her head, listening to the other form climbing up the cliff for a moment before deciding to make herself known and say hello. She knew it could be risky, especially with where they were. If it was an aggressive lupine she would not be able to run away easily, not without risking falling anyways. So with slight caution, Nymeria made one last leap, climbing onto the ledge that the unknown wolf was on. She was a few feet away from a male, one with long black fur, like her younger brother almost. Nymeria was sure that he would hear her, it was not a quiet business scrambling up the rocks. She spoke up, talking quickly like usual, ”Hello! My name’s Nymeria. Who are you? What are you doing up here?” She forced herself to keep her words short and not ask too many questions at once like she usually did. Her plume wagged in a friendly gesture, hoping that the male would be nice enough. ________________________________________________________________________ |
