Hmm, my radar went off last week end walking the trails. I would have been about 4 miles north and maybe 2 miles west of your sighting. Darkness and about 8:20 or so, I spotted eyeshine from my headlamp. Very hard to make accurate speculation as what took notice of my walking. Maybe 2 ft above ground and fairly wide eye spacing, pale bright yellow shine. One blink, a turn away and a return gaze with another blink and gone. At 100 yards I can be sure of 2 things only, large eyes and slow controlled movement. I switched the headlamp from red to high power white spot, but just too far to get a fur color. Perhaps whatever it was found my red lamp interesting.....
