Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies.

At least he hadn’t gone running for the hills at her burst of motion. She had an odd way of dealing with things, or rather not dealing with them at all. How much easier was it to simply pick up her feet and move along than to actually deal with a problem or uneasy situation, and yet here she was trying to work through the feelings that ran through her blood. The nudge he returned to her tawny shoulder was all the answer she truly needed, at least at the moment. He was warm to the touch and it had been some time since she had been this close to anyone. She watched as the sun finally crested the horizon, casting the sky into brilliant pinks and oranges and she cocked an ear toward him as he spoke again, paying attention though she looked elsewhere. It was harder to meet his gaze now.

She nodded her head slightly at his words, so he was a loner as well. It made sense after all that had transpired and the idea of walking did make her heart lighter at that moment. She stands beside him, flicking a glance up to his golden face, giving a bark of a laugh at his statement. “I know what you mean. I find my knees don’t bend so well to others as they ought,” she said, the laughter continuing to ring in her tone. As if in clear admonishment of that statement she stretched her front feet forward, lifting her tail and rump in to the air as she stretched long and deep before pulling herself back up. With a flick of her head she face him once more. “We all have our flaws, I would not call having a backbone anything to be sorry about it. I can see why they would follow you.” He was the glue holding his family together, it was not something she could relate to but it is something she could appreciate to his character.

Watching as he pivots she follows his gaze, though the direction meant little to her. “I appreciate the offer. I can’t promise exactly how long I will stick around, my paws are considerably slick these days, but knowing there is a place of safety and even… even a friend nearby would be appreciated.” She sidled up beside him, the fly away hairs on the tip of her coat barely scraping along his own.

Some habits die hard.

“So, where are we going and what trouble can we get in to along the way?” she asked, the devilish glint back in her eye as if she were none the worse for wear.
