Announcements as of July 28, 2021

I have called you, and you have answered my call --

Do not mistake my silence for weakness, my forest kin. For I am willing to defend you with my fangs and claws, until the days come when am no longer able to. Keep an eye on the borders for Zelda and her sister Midna, because I will welcome them back into the flock on the day of their return.

The flood has left our forest home in a sorry state of disarray. I shall not tolerate this. Summer is here and we must rebuild our dens in time for winter. There is a lot of hard and dirty work ahead of us. But we shall face it together, as family, as a pack. Let's get back to work and then we shall hunt. I hunger for a feast.

From your new Alpha --

Moonshade, the Gravekeeper of Moladion

Four years | No Love | Tortures Roamin | Iromar Demon
I will be heard

I am in so much pain, but I fight through it. I can feel my teeth aching, my legs screaming at me to stop, but I cannot. I must go on until I find Solaris and the healer. I cannot let a precious second waste allowing my muscles to rest. I continued to drag him, seeing fur being left behind that I know I will get later once he is better. I do see out of the corner of my eye, another wolf coming towards me. I do not stop though. I continue until he is upon us. He is of a cream color, and white, but I do not know who he is. I stop my dragging, as he begins to inspect Roamin. I feel...strange having him so close to him. I feel conflicted. I am stuck here, forever, feeling his presence torn from me like it were my own skin, and yet I cannot bear to let another touch him like my mother did. I am given to uncontrollably bear my teeth at him, a warning growl curling up in my throat. I do not want him harming him. I cannot allow it, and yet what if he is the healer?

My teeth are covered suddenly, and my frantic face morphs as I see the pain in his eyes. I need to know if he can help, if he was the healer I called for. He needs to put Roamin back together, he needs to put us back together like we belong. We are here, yes, me and Roamin, he is just not...here, and I feel it every second as my legs tremble.

"You...you can make him better?" I asked, then the male asking who it was that did this. My ears fall back, and my form curls back a bit at the questions. I had not even thought of her. She does not exist anymore. Ruby allowed Obsidian to take her away after she was done with all of the blood. I bit my lip, my form still trembling like a thin tree in a cruel winter storm.

"M-mother? There is no mother. She is gone. She does not exist, you see, I had to stop her, she does not matter, she showed no mercy so I showed no mercy, and I had to help him, yes, I had to, and you can heal him, right? You need to hurry, okay, okay, you need to hurry, please hurry there isn't much time," I say, my voice increasing in speed and lacing with panic and the croak of a cry at the end. I am covered in her and Romain's blood if I know it or not, my very own red demon marks extended by the life of two others. My yellow eyes gaze at the older male, and within them I expect his answer to be that he will help him, make him all better and that everything will be okay, and yet he speaks of me being safe and no harm coming to me. My lips twitch into baring my fangs again, offended that he dare speak of me when Roamin lay in the dirt needing his help.

"HELP HIM!" I scream, my breath huffing and puffing as I can feel my hackles raising without hesitation, Obsidian wishing them to raise in these moments. I am broken from my stare towards Sen as Solaris comes, my breath growing more easy. I allow him next to me, my form still shaking as my legs feel like they are about to collapse, but Obsisian holds them up for me, she guides me and gives me strength and reaction when I am too tired to do so myself. I feel Solaris' muzzle, and I can only give my shaky one in return.

It was strangely nice to feel the Angel by my side right now. I craved more of it, the warmth that he gave, and yet it never seemed to warm the chilling of my heart that was only growing colder with each second. I am stuck with a void, the part of Roamin gone within me. I respond to his first question.

"Yes, make him better, please," I said as my words get caught in my throat at the end. He then states he is unable to fix his body, and I knew that Solaris was not healer, or at least, I thought. I only find myself shaking more against him, my breathing increasing once more. I do not understand what he means by keeping his soul safe. Was this something that needed to be done? I do not know. I just feel he is ripped from me, that the world is incomplete for eternity, and yet if Solaris can keep whatever was ripped from me safe until someone can heal him, well, I cannot say no, despite the fact that I may not understand what is going on.

I hear what he says in the Latin tongue. I am then suddenly throw back in my mind, memories of me as pup being taught our own chant at death, and even though I refuse to think Roamin in gone, refuse to think he is dead just...wandering elsewhere, perhaps this will keep him safe too. I take a sharp breath in.

"Anima tua reditum ad patrum nostrorum, et susceperint vos, flammis inferni, ut a multis tibi carnibus epulantur, tua semper recta, ut tremere in facie Angelorum." I whisper, almost completely to myself. I do not know if it will help. He is not a Demon, but I am desperate. I will do anything to keep his soul safe until I can have it back. I will say any words, I will kill as many as I had to bring his smile and joy back to the land.

Yet when Solaris speaks again I am given to shake my head. I still cannot believe I cannot have him back now. Resting, gone, does this mean I am to forever feel this way? Empty? I find myself shrinking into my own body, my eyes staring at Roamin as I see him covered in blood. I...I cannot go back to Iromar, not yet, and although I for now feel no guilt over killing my once mother, I know that Father will find out, and Father will kill me. Mother killed my Imprint and I killed his. This must mean he will kill me as I killed her. I gulped as this thought wiggled into my brain. I am lost, without a home, and this feeling will never go away.

"He...he cannot...no, I can't....I can't go back," I whisper, my eyes flinging up to Sen and then to Solaris in complete panic. Perhaps Sen had meant that he would make sure Father wouldn't kill me. But I have no where to go, no where to be, I am broken in the soul. "Where...Where can I go? What can I do? I...I must get him back, I don't...don't have a choice," I said in a raised voice, my smaller form rushing to Roamin's side once more, my paw touching onto his chest as I begin to shake him. "Wake up, Roamin, WAKE UP!" I scream, my body giving in, Obsidian unable to hold me as I collapse right next to him, a pained whine escaping my throat.

In this moment, I know I will never be whole again. Nothing will ever be the same.

THE FOREST RANKS

THE GRAVEKEEPER

The Alpha Male of Taviora. He will accept all challenges and block any steals. He has taken an oath to protect all within the forest, alive and dead.

THE KEEPER OF SECRETS

This will be Moonshade's chosen co-alpha. They will also be able to accept challanges and steals in order to defend Taviora.

THE KEEPER OF TRUTHS

This rank will belong to the chosen heir of Taviora. This wolf will probably share Moonshade's blood. This rank can be challenged for if you believe that you are a better candidate for the job.

THE FOREST COUNCIL

Although the Alpha's have the final say in all matters, Taviora is still a pack, we are still a community. These wolves are the most senior members of our ranks. Their role is to guide, serve and protect. All of them have earned their place here and they should be respected at all times. Every position on the council can be challanged for by a subordinate pack member. However the council has the right to block a pack member from gaining the position if they have concluded that the individual has placed their own selfish desires before the best interest of the pack as a whole.

THE TUSKS

The packs lead fighter. One of the strongest and bravest in our ranks. They will answer the call to protect the forest if either of the Alpha's are absent.

THE JAWS

The packs head of defence. They are our chief hunter and guardian to all within the forest borders. They know every inch of Taviora and every wolf within.

THE HORNS

The packs most senior teacher. They are responsible for teaching and guiding all of our young and new members so that they will reach their full potential.

THE EYES

The packs trusted informant. This wolf spends a lot of their time outside the forest borders, keeping their eyes, ears and nose peeled for news or potential trouble. Due to the secretive and dangerous nature of this rank, only a wolf that the pack can trust with their lives will obtain this responsibility.

THE DARKDWELLER

This is Taviora’s Head Healer. This wolf is responsible for treating the pack's wounds, injuries and illnesses. They are also expected to be one of the first on scene when a mother goes into labour. Along with their counterpart, The Soothsayer, they will train future healers for the service of our pack and our allies.

THE SOOTHSAYER

This is Taviora’s Head Counselor. Their knowledge of healing and herbal remedies are equal to that of their counterpart, The Darkdweller. This wolf specializes in helping us conquer the unseen demons in our heads and our hearts. They are also expected to help bring all children of the forest safely into this world.

NIGHTWATCHERS

Our trusted packmates that guard the borders while the rest of us sleep safely in our dens. If something is amiss within our lands, they should be the first to intercept any threat and call for back up when needed. Some might not call themselves soldiers, but they will spill blood if push comes to shove.

DAWNSTRIDERS

The most diligent and selfless of our pack. They are up at first light and leave our inner sanctum every few days in search of prey. They hunt far and wide in order to make sure none of us go hungry. While not out hunting, they are free to relax or assist the Nightwatchers, Daylightres or Dawnstriders with their tasks.

DAYLIGHTERS

This group will make up the bulk of our pack, they are our beloved family. They are generalists and commoners who are charged with looking after the most central and sacred parts of our home. Along with The Horns, they are expected to watch out for our children. We are happy to keep all within our ranks that love and respect the forest of Taviora.

DUSKWALKERS

Rumoured to be the most free spirited and independent members of our pack, they guard when no other eyes are available. They wander down all the winding dirt paths and have been known to explore into the freelands. They are envoys and ambassadors who assist The Eyes with their duty of keeping us all safe.

ANCIENT PINES

These wolves are older and have retired from active service. We thank them for all that they have done for our pack, however long or short their tenor was. They shall live out the rest of their years with the best food, shelter and company we can offer them.

THE BRIAR PATCH

This is the name for Taviora’s nursing mothers and their litters of puppies. Once they are born, at least one parent is expected to temporarily step down from their role in order to raise their pups for the first 6 months of their lives. An exemption can be made if another mother is willing to look after the young while the parents resume their service to the pack.

THE SAPLINGS

Too big for the briar patch but not yet old enough to be called a daylighter. These are all puppies between the age of 1 and 3. Pups can start their training from 2 and above if The Horns has found a suitable Mentor for them.

THE WELCOMED

These wolves are welcome within our borders anytime of the day or night. Blocking their access will be met with disapproval and possible punishment.

THE BANISHED

They are enemies of our pack and their presence will not be tolerated within or near our home. Those caught in contact with a wolf on this list will likely share the same fate.

THE SACRED TOMBS

Our brothers and sisters that have sadly left us for their next adventures. We give thanks for their lives and we send them on with all our love, hopes and dreams. Moonshade will accept the bones of any wolf that has ever called Taviora their home and will find them a special place within our hallowed grounds. Every burial mound is individual and sacred. Tampering or messing with one will not be tolerated. A crime against the dead will be treated as though it has been committed against a living pack member.

Remember, we are always watching from the shadows ...
