Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Meryl was confused and scared for his life. What had he ever done to the demons to ignite the hate that now seemed to stem from their leader? Or he presumed was their leader. Certainly fit the description of huge, ugly and vicious. Then again it seemed all demons fit the bill as such in his mind. He hated them. Hated them more and more every time he saw one of them crawl out of the swamps of Iromar, the only place they belonged. They tried so many times to hurt his family in Diveen. Went to war and lost to the Angels, when was enough, enough? Granted though he stood no chance against this brute who seemed hell bent on killing him for no apparent reason. He spouted nonsense! He never met this male in his entire life!

He just barely escaped the first strike spinning around and watching as very quickly the brute dropped it knowing he had missed. It was a parlor trick, one he wanted to see. Blind rage and fury or rabies perhaps he would have simply torn at it but he knew what he wanted and it was obviously only at him. He was crazy, but this wasn’t some illness driven crazy that Meryl had been hoping for. Something like that well he could leave the brute to tear at himself and be crazy that way and no longer be any kind of curious to why he was so set on murdering him. Meryl was fairly certain he could run circles around him for some time let him spew whatever it was, but something was clicking. He had always been a smart boy. After all how could he become so adept at healing if he hadn’t? If this male wasn’t entirely insane that would suggest that somehow he knew Meryl. Though so far Meryl had no information to prove that he wasn’t just crazy either.

As he spun around behind the male he watched as he was met nearly face to face with the brute. Every one of the hulking male’s words met with a charging paw step but the boy didn’t miss them. Andromeda? For so long he had considered her his mother, but she was not the only one he had ever had. It fit yes, but unless his star-marked mother lied when she had been stolen away the demons didn’t hurt her. He stood in shock when the realization hit him then. His blood mother, she never just picked up and left before, but she just left one day and never came back. Meryl had always assumed the possibility that maybe she had passed away. She was weak, they all had been. This though suggested otherwise.

When his brain snapped back to the present though he was found with the brute all too close to him and it was far too late to avoid the harsh feel of fangs and the brute’s body colliding with him just before his back legs had a chance to take off and away from the Demon Lord. The wolf hit his mark feeling the fangs start just above the dock of his tail when he tried to take off allowing them to drag slightly trailing down his left flank before launching himself a few feet away only to crumple slightly from the impact leaving him in an awkward slumped over sit his back left leg spread out turning some of his thick white ticks crimson as it trailed down his back end.

It hurt, but something inside of him felt strange. Much like how he felt towards the wolfess who had hurt Daenerys, and the wolf who had took Andromeda away. It was light and heavy and it felt like he was boiling in his very core. His brown and sky flecked eye narrowed something feral could be seen within the orbs as the pupil constricted, his teeth clenched he knew that male would be stalking towards him again but he didn’t care.

”What did you do to my mother? How do you know, Fair.” His voice changed, mirroring Andras’ own but only in slightly higher pitches a growl rumbling deep within. It didn’t occur to him the similarities not like this all he felt was anger and all he wanted was revenge.
