There used to be kings on the islands? Like of the whole islands? Stardust asked. She turned her eyes on the older stallion. Her dad hadn’t talked about that. She just knew about kings of territories. That was a strange thing anyway. She looked around. My dad said that he did a lot of wandering on the mainland and then hung around in the Lagoon for a while. Then he decided to start his own herd. Guess that’s how we ended up in the Bay. Tinuvel’s pretty but nothing like this. Stupid bugs… Her voice continued to comment on various differences as she decided to go for a swim. The water was warmer than the frozen river in the Bay.
Sokka sighed. Stardust still seemed occupied with the water. His dark eyes darted back to Tarrant. The way he talked, Sokka started to wonder. Would his father ever show up again? Would he ever learn what really happened? He couldn’t know what was going on with his mother who had disappeared one night and his father who vanished the next. No word and no news. Sokka sighed, his eyes getting a little distant.
‘Ell, Ah dink Ah’ll go grab sum’m ta eat, Sokka muttered, thinking over Tarrant’s words. Why wasn’t Sahin here to say them. He turned away and started down the path in a different direction than the one they’d used to come up here. Stardust watched him go.
What’s his problem? Stardust asked Tarrant.
((OOC — I think we can probably wrap this up here soon. It’s been going for a while))
