The idea had, perhaps, been spur of the moment; and probably more beneficial to Iromar than to Spirane. But in truth I hoped that maybe the youth of the swampland who might seek a chance of scenery as they aged would find it easier to consider the mountains if they had heard good things about the pack lands from one of their own at some point in their life. In turn, if a relationship of any measure was going to work between our packs, I could not be the sole individual in my pack to not think completely ill of those who inhabited Iromar. Although I had never met Andras myself, the rumors of his – to put it lightly – unpleasant demeanor had spread far and wide. But those who served beneath him, such as Aithne, offered a different viewpoint for me of their population. I would never disallow my pack speaking their minds about Iromarians, but maybe my near-approval of them would help meld a different mindset for the future.

I grinned lightly at Aithne’s comment; enlightenment was perhaps the perfect description for what could come of such an arrangement. I can feel the lightheartedness in her remark, but it is true never the less. At this point I can feel that our meeting is coming to an end, and in truth this whole task has gone much smoother than I expected. “If there are others such as yourself making their home within Iromar these days, maybe in the future it will not be so hard a task after all.” I stated. She has handled this business quite well, and she is a wolf that I would gladly send those seeking training in the ways of diplomacy to learn from.

She then reiterates what we’ve agreed upon, and I nod in conformity. There is not much left to say, other than farewells as we depart and go our separate ways. “Well met, Aithne.” I say, and she responds that it was a pleasure. And then she is gone, dashing off towards the south, back to her homelands. My own departure is a little less hasty, turning and picking up a steady lope to ascend back into the peaks, and perhaps seek out Niviaq as I had originally intended to do this day.
