Uncover our heads CALL ME: Shay'ath I GROW FINER AS I AGE: Adult WHO IS THE FAIREST OF THEM ALL: Female INTO THE LOOKING GLASS: Upon first glance, you would think that her coat was a pure, unblemished white hue. However, upon closer inspection, you would see that all of her toes are light grey. Her fur is relatively rather short for a wolf due to her living in a desert. Her nose is a delicate button on the end of her snout. Lavender colors her eyes, causing her to constantly appear to be in a dreamy state. She is as tall as females of her species can get naturally. She is thin and lithe with a small, delicate bone structure. She was built for speed though her usual walk is slow and fluid as though carefully choreographed ahead of time. When she does run, it is usually for long distances rather than short sprints. She has the body of a dancer. Her thin build and small bone structure make everything about her appear elongated; her muzzle, legs, ears, tail. That is not the case at all though. Looking at her delicate features, you might think that she was born into a royal bloodline but she was born to mere servants. INSIDE MY HEAD: She's the quiet type. She doesn't speak much. It has nothing to do with being shy. She just doesn't see the point in meaningless talking. When she speaks, her voice is soft but commands attention. She is neither submissive nor dominant. She will lead when she feels it is best but she always has no qualms letting someone else rule over her as long as she feels they are a good ruler. She is known for her gentleness but that does not mean that she won't defend herself or those she cares about or respects if she feels that they need her. This does not mean that she will protect or help out anyone who needs it. It really depends on the situation and how she feels the gods would want her to handle it. She is fairly intelligent and has a pretty good knowledge of healing. She is a humble soul. You will never hear her boast about herself. She will, however, shower people with compliments if she feels they actually deserve it. She will not lie for any reason and she does not appreciate being lied to either. It does not matter to her whether a white lie was told with good intentions or not. Honesty is the best policy with her, especially since she has a tendency to be brutally honest about what she thinks. She is always willing to entertain and try out new ideas. She is a woman of her word and very dependable. If she says that she will do something, it will get done or she will do her damnest. She hates to fail at anything but she will quit once he finally realizes that something isn't going to work out. She is very intuitive due to how observant she is. She can notice very small things about people and how they hold themselves. Sometimes she picks up on things that people might think they hiding due to their body language or change in their tone. She is quick to pass judgement but is just as easy to forgive. She will gladly offer second chances but if you cross her too many times, you will hear about it and she will take matters into her own hands. She likes to stay busy. Idleness and laziness are a few things that she can not stand, aside from lying. She believes that everyone must pull their weight whether they are rulers, pups, or slaves. Even though she likes to have a plan of action, she is capable of accepting things as they come if she knows she has no choice in the matter. She isn't easily distracted. She tends to overthink things at times and replays things in her mind days or even months after they have been said. She is surprisingly good with timid creatures and young children due to the long fuse she has attached to her patience. She rarely ever gets truly angry. She gets worried, stressed out, and annoyed at times but she has never experienced true anger. The only things that really annoys her is when someone she feels is under her care gets hurt or threatened by someone else, when someone isn't pulling their weight, or when people lie, While she is pretty good at picking up on people's emotions, she can not tell when people flirt with her. Despite her beauty, she really wouldn't know what to do in a relationship since she has never looked at anybody romantically. She uses her passion for helping others for the greater good of her community rather than for romance. She is a firm believer in meditation, prophecies, and every god that she has ever heard of. Her patron goddess back home was Hek'ate who was the goddess of women, children, and social outcasts. Hek'ate was her light in the darkness. While very nurturing, she was also known for exacting swift justice. She had a very active role in her children's lives and was known to answer prayers, or not answer them, if it was for the person's greater good. Despite her personal beliefs, she is open-minded and never criticizes anyone for their beliefs or lack thereof. MY FOOTPRINTS IN THE MUD: She was cast out of her desert-dwelling pack not due to her pale coloration but because of the color of her eyes. As most pups are, she was born with the standard baby blue eyes but as she grew older, they changed to the color they are now. All of the members of her pack had either brown, gold, green, or blue eyes. In her homeland, purple eyes were considered an omen of ill-fortune. No one had been born with that eye color for as long as the elders had recorded so they thought, due to a prophecy, that she was the one who would ultimately cause the end of life as they knew it. More specifically, they thought that her birth would cause the end of the world. Her parents believed differently. They believed that she would be the one to cause change, yes, but change that would benefit everyone. Despite her parents pleas to spare her life, they were ordered to kill her. They were unwilling to do so and hid her away a few miles outside of the pack's land. They came to see her as often as they could and brought her food. They had even found an Ethiopian wolf named Ten'dri who had been willing to stay with her until she reached maturity to teach her how to heal, hunt, and defend herself. She helped her be a well-rounded, respectable, woman who could take care of herself. Healing and dancing came easiest to her though so, had she not been living in exile, her job as a servant would probably have been as a medic to her masters. Her parents came to see her less and less frequently and eventually stopped coming altogether. Tend'dri and Shay weren't sure whether they figured she was fine on her own or if something had happened to them. It was okay with her because she always had Ten'dri there with her. Ten'dri had become her mentor, her sole companion, and only friend. Shay'ath even considered her as a parental figure so if you ask her, she would say that she had three parents. Ten'dri had been old when she first took Shay'ath under her wing so it came as no surprise that she passed away shortly before Shay turned two. Shay took it very well, though, since she knew that it was the will of the gods and that it was what was meant to be. She has been traveling since then, looking for a more permanent home.
