Orion swallowed thickly as Heyel scrutinized his excuse for being out in the woods with Nevaeh. His yellow eyes caught the slightest hint of a smirk on the old wolf's maw and he tilted his head just so, a bit confused at this whole situation. He had just wanted to take a nice walk with his soul but now apparently that was not going to happen. The black wolf liked and respected Heyel but he didn't have the sharp wit that the angel possessed, he couldn't banter back and forth like him and Nevaeh were doing. At least the words were relatively nonthreatening though, because he would probably melt into a puddle if Heyel were to make death threats or something. Though this was stressful it wasn't impossible to deal with at least.

Nevaeh's remark made him flinch slightly and he looked between her and Heyel. They were really taking a walk though! There was no flowers involved or anything like that. Orion's yellow eyes glanced quickly at his soul before looking back at the wolf that had interrupted their walk. Heyel seemed to be impressed and annoyed at the same time with her response, but Orion was just glad that he hadn't suffered for it.

The words hardly take him by surprise. Heyel is quite protective over Nevaeh, and Orion's known this since the day that he met the old angel. The last thing he wanted to do was to get in the way of the exceptional bond that they shared. "That's fine with me." he said quickly. Maybe he could get Heyel off his back a little if he tried to respond back with something other than extreme politeness.

"Unless, Nevaeh prefers the flowers in the forest." Orion said, trying his best to sound self-assured, but it failed a little bit. He was just trying to show them both that he could be witty too! But maybe this plan would totally backfire. Actually, it most definitely would and he immediately regretted the words as soon as they came out of his mouth. Maybe he should stick to fighting, instead of speaking.
