Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

And every demon wants his pound of flesh

So he had partaken in the meal she had left behind her. It was no issue, she would have judged him far more harshly had he simply walked on by them and done nothing. It was the way of the land and their species, for most food was food. Had her prejudice against her brother not clouded her judgment earlier she would have herself. Had he not eaten them some other predator would have. Pride was her favorite fault. “Well then, very glad I could oblige,” she said with a sneer, the words dripping heavily from her white muzzle.

It was no surprise that she had missed the joke in his words, for as dry as Astrid is she dabbles very little in the way of wit, her brother seemed to have taken all the humor from their mother’s womb and left none for her. No our girl deals more in hard truths rather than beating around the bush to a point. It does, however, seem to surprise this dark stranger however. She watches as he considers her words, recalculates the situation and approaches the new possible outcomes. It was quite amusing to watch actually. He seems to decide on something and noting his steps forward no doubt it is acceptance to the idea she had put forth. She struggles not to lash out at how near he has come, though not necessarily invading her privacy she doesn’t deal quite well with approaches in general.

She manages to choke down the urge, however, and listen to the idea he lays out for them. Her two-toned eyes twitch at his words. A deer wasn’t the most exciting of targets, but it would provide more entertainment than the raccoon or mice had at least and a strange companion to boot, though he did give her his name at last. “My power is in the sprint,” she says flatly, her thick physique and muscular form did not belied some agility but not as much as her brother’s litheness, “but I can close the space fast enough and keep up with their light hooves. Where do they take shelter this time of year?” She wasn’t familiar enough with this area yet to know where the varying fauna chose to spend their seasons, but this Zaphikiel seemed to take joy out of giving her information anyway. “I’m Astrid,” she said finally, knowing enough of conversation to provide her name when one was given at least.
