At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Akuji

True beauty is something that attacks, overpowers, robs, and finally destroys.

The two inverted images went at each other and an amused mask painted itself upon Akuji's face, his orbs watching the scene unfolding before him. Folding his haunches, he lowered his weight to the silt earth that lined the earth surrounding Leisure Lake, a slight frown marring his perfect facade as the cold dampness invaded his pelt. It lasted only a second before his maw curled upward pleasantly again and he shifted, getting comfortable. He was ready to enjoy his show. The two femmes seemed to be yin and yang, good and evil. So starkly different were the pair that they seemed to be the environment's attempt at splitting the world into two options, when in fact nothing was merely black and white, but rather many different shades of grey, which apparently was what had brought the brute to the scene, to balance nature once more. For he was neither good nor evil, but a mix of the two, a true chaotic neutral whose choices depended on all of the factors involved in each moment he breathed.

The eboness landed on the earth... hard. It was mere luck that she was able to get her paws beneath her and leap out of the way before the battling foe could get at her, thus sending the ivora flailing headfirst into the silt. She growled angrily, hackles raising, which caused Akuji to chuckle aloud, albeit softly. However, just then she turned her ambers to lay upon Akuji and he sighed, disappointed that his presence would upset and pause their battle. It seemed as if it was time for intermission... but apparently only more entertainment would prove to be presented to him during such a time. The eboness ran toward him, and Akuji did not flinch, unruffled by her abrupt approach. Should she choose to attack, she would learn just how quick a kalak could be, for they were built for speed - long legs, lithe forms... rare it was for him to find another, aside from other kalaks, who could match his speed. But this was just another example of why other breeds of vargs were inferior to his own, purebred lines.

Still, amused, a brow raised and he turned his cranium to see her stop her charge once she was past him. Ah, so he was to be the shield between her and the other lupine. Was he to be her savior? Apparently she thought so. It was clear that she knew him naught at all. Excuse me but that is my sister that seems to be hiding behind you. If you could kindly give her back so we can continue our *ahem* training. Her ambers bore into him in a threatening manner, glaring at him as if to kill him on the spot. How precious. Once more a chuckle released from him maw, this time loud. "There is no need to sugar coat the truth, darling, especially when the truth of it is so clear before my eyes." Turning to the eboness, he shook his cranium. Raising to his full height, towering over her, he addressed her with his deep vocals. "You should not hide behind me, love. I'm merely a spectator. It matters naught to me which of you is the predator and which is the prey, I shall take no sides or aid either. I merely observe. You two are my entertainment for my afternoon." His plume swept his haunches, gracefully removing the damp silt from his pelt as his limbs carried him backward, til he no longer stood between the two.

His muds turned once more to the ivora, smiling. Leaning backward, he extended a forelimb, dipping into a bow. "I'm terribly sorry to have proven an interruption. I do implore you to carry on, darling. It would please me if you did." Relaxing once more, he waited, fully excited to see what the ending would bring... until a fourth character was brought to the scene, a timberess who apparently had also been watching the scene, but with different opinions than he.

Hellene had indeed seen the scene unfold but had not interrupted, believing that the kalak would interfere on behalf of the raveness who clearly was neither the one who had been the instigator nor the one who would prove to be the victor, but his words breached the and broke the thin wall that was all that ever held her anger at bay. As of late it had hidden itself deeper, being tempered by her offspring's needs and innocence, but in such a stark realization of inequality and crudeness she could not and would not hold her tongue. Her form, russet and grey, streaked from the foliage that had previously hidden her and ran to the exact Akuji had previously stood, taking stance between the feuding sisters, her amber eyes meeting the opposing ambers with a glare. Her lids were slitted, form low to the ground but her lips and hackles raised. The former exposed her sharp pearls and the latter revealing her intent. "Sisters, as you say? Sisters should not battle and should not fight as you do, but stick together through thick and thin. I have a sister of my own and though our personalities differ as much as your exteriors do, we shall always side together because of our blood. And so since you have failed her so fully in the task of loyalty I shall step in where that kalak has failed. Come at your sister if you wish - you shall know the fury of my teeth as you wished she would feel the fury of yours!" Firey orbs turned to Akuji, whose maw thinned in annoyance. "And you! You should be ashamed of your stance. Encouraging such..." A low growl rumbled from her chest in warning.

Thus was Hellene's nature - she was headstrong and reckless, never taking into account dangers or odds that were against her favor. Instead she acted upon her thoughts as soon as they were thought. Muscles tensed, ready to attack should the snowed ess chose to press on.

Akuji scoffed at the timberess' words. "And you, child, have no right to interfere in such affairs or upset my fun." But there was no denying that the tables had turned and that the plot had twisted... it was up to the sisters to reveal what would happen next.
