Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

It was an irritating thing. I had found her in the forest pack, with her brother whom enjoys the taste of blood and looking upon the insides of creatures just as much as I, and yet I do not sense that kind of intention within her. No, the forest girl would not like the things I do, I don't think, but perhaps I am that part of her brought out into the wild. I am the side of her that she refuses to explore.

What irritates me more is knowing that she leave the forest pack. She leaves and travels all the way to the grassland pack. I had traversed it myself. I have smelled the scents and I am still not sure why she goes there. It irritates me. I can only hiss at the borders for now, as I am no fool to step into a pack uninvited...at least, right now I am no fool. I cannot promise that girl won't lure me in regardless.

And yet I still do not understand it or know why it is there. I snort as I stride in the woodlands. The birds caw above my head, and the sounds of crickets cling to the air in some sort of desperation. My ears flicker due to the excess noise, my teeth exposed as I see one of the dark little creatures climbing on a blade of grass. I promptly snap, my jaws crushing it easily as I end its song and life. They were the prey of my childhood, but that does not mean I still don't desire tasting insect blood every now and then.

As I swallow the creature, the scent of one oh so familiar touches the air so gently. It was that of Melek, and I am pleased that she is here in my home of the woodlands. She was never too far, I assume, but perhaps that is just my ego speaking. I know that Eden has a weird...thing for her, and I am still not pleased that he consumed her eye. My gleaming white form then head towards her, each stride powerful and strong. I am of Ava, I am from perfection and this is known.

I see her through the trees with my orange flashed violet eyes. She is dark, with one eye as the sun lays gently upon her. I have cleaned her before, taken away her imperfections so that she is no longer. I simply come to stand next to her, to sit on my haunches and stare out into the distance, into the trees. I am always on the prowl, always prepared to have my muscles move and flash towards prey. I do not give way to a smile like many wolves do. I hold my face serious, callous almost, yet I am naturally a male that is considered attractive, a male that reflects the face of Heyel himself if I like it or not. It still...bothers me that the forest girl called his name towards me. I lick my snout.

"Melek," I state, giving way to a pause. "Non a nobis hodie. Tu sanguinemque in aera?" (This day is not our own. Do you taste blood in the air?) I ask, my nose tingling as I sniff the cooling air of fall. A kill is not too far off from here, and perhaps that is what adds to the screams and caws of birds in the distance.
