Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Nord
take these broken wings and learn to fly
Nord made his way towards the riverside, the soft grass feeling wonderful underneath his grey paws. Life seemed so colorful nowadays, especially with the arrival of fall. All around things were changing in preparation for winter, and the lanky wolf was no exception. He was a healer in Taviora now, he had a purpose and something to work towards, and he wasn't half bad at it either. Well, he hadn't really had a big test of his abilities yet, but he was sure he would be busy this coming spring. Nord was secretly excited to see all the puppies scampering around. Their youthful energy delighted the shy boy, and his heart gave a pang of regret for the pups of his old pack who would never have the chance to grow up.

It wasn't often he thought about his old home, not anymore at least. He still missed his family, but he was moving on after all this time. He had a new home now and was making friends, even though the only wolf he could call a friend was a bit... well. She was just Celeste. Nord was more than okay with that though, her personality was so opposite to his that their relationship was certainly interesting. He did owe her though, it was thanks to her that he had tried to get over his stutter.

But Nord had chosen today to simply relax and enjoy the cool fall weather by the river. There was something calming about the sound of the lazy water, and it was the perfect place to spend a little time lounging around. He wouldn't be adverse to company, as awkward as he was with conversation, but for now he was content to sit by the river and watch the water as it drifted by.
