Is it better to die for what you believe in rather than to lie to save your life

It is better to die for what you believe in rather than to lie to save your life. From the view of a Christian perspective, to die for your faith will bring glory God. This is one of Gods most crucial tests. He is basically asking, will you die for him or will you reject him as your God on the circumstances of saving your patooty. On the topic of this matter, the Bible states in John 15:20 Remember the word that I said to you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. This means that death can not be the end of you if you choose to follow God. You will only lose your earthly life. By accepting Jesus as your Lord and savior, you will receive eternal life in heaven. Not only will they persecute Christians, one day the non-believers will be persecuted one way or the other. The choice of choosing God will be kept accountable just as someone may not choose God will also be kept accountable. Jesus Christ was nailed to the cross for following God. He paid the ultimate price for every single person who was or will become. He paid for their sins. Why would anyone deny that man as their savior on THEIR deathbeds? It could be because they believe in a different god, or they believe in no god at all. Even if that is the case, wouldn’t their faith of whatever they believe, be significant enough to them that they would not back down from it and stand for what they believe in? What could they be so afraid of that it would make them change their minds? Back on the Christian subject, Why would the rest of the world want to destroy Christians? Is it because they are afraid of what they believe in, or that they think Christians will “harm” the world “even more”. There have been many misconceptions about the events of the past that were supposedly “Christian based” problems. Such as the Crusades or even more recent, the Ku Klux Klan . These are not what true Christians believe. Over time since the Bible was written, the book was misinterpreted and twisted into something completely the opposite of what God intended. These event have been happening from the beginning. Even today, there are religions that are based off of Christianity, which select certain sections of the Bible that they want to follow. Or twist it so it fits their religion. So why are Christians the ones to blame? None of the other religions are being shamed across the globe for their beliefs. Why is it that Christianity is considered a crime in most countries but Buddhism, Muslim, and so on are not? Countless debates have been about, how do you know what religion is the correct religion? For one thing, Buddhism, Muslim, Mormon and so on, are about bettering themselves. Using some higher force to bring glory to THEMSELVES. Christianity does not offer that at all. Christianity is about surrendering your life into Gods hands and while you are on earth, your one job is to bring glory to HIM. When, God forbid, the time comes when someone has a gun to your head and they ask you if you follow Jesus Christ, you either say yes or no. If you say yes, you die. If you say no, then your life is spared. Regardless if you lied or not, you still had that doubt that if you died, what would happen if there was no God?. Only faith would give enough courage to say yes. Lets say that in another parallel dimension, Buddhism was being persecuted for their faith. Wouldn’t they want to stand up for Buddha because they believed in him with all their hearts that he was the real ‘God’. Christians are often referred to as ‘Closed Minded’. They are often seen that way because of not wanting to ‘consider’ the theories of Atheism or other beliefs. Well why do the other religions consider the possibility of there being one true God. Wouldn’t they be considered ‘Close Minded’ as well? Or does it not apply to them? We all have our beliefs and whether or not they are the “right” religion, everyone should have the right to stand up for that belief. It is not up to anyone to destroy a religion because it is the “wrong” religion. We all are entitled to our opinions. It is better to die for what you believe in rather than to lie to save your life.
