dirt vs asphalt Posted on 11/12/2014 at 08:22:10 PM by Kevin Ruic
Having operated both asphalt and dirt tracks across the country let me give you some facts to ponder. Without the initial expense of finding and spreading good gumbo there is really not much cost in maintaining a top notch dirt facility. You need a good supply of water, 2 water trucks, a sheeps foot, a road grader and one full time operator that knows how to tend to dirt. Asphalt is even easier until it becomes a sponge and leeches under hot conditions. Dirt will bring more fans but the payout is to the moon. Before deciding on what to build you have to read the room. Build what everyone else has or suffer low car counts. Replies: There have been no replies.
