Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

bring me to paradise

Living the pack life made the boy a bit weary, in fact, he was getting tired of lying around when he could be gallivanting around looking for something fun to do. Jinan somehow managed to slip passed the boarder patrol of Taviora, wandering down into the woodland area, thinking that maybe he can get a little practice in for the hunting session he's expecting from his father. Though Jinan has never been one to run off so sudden, but the thought of Amutaq being furious with him didn't seem to brother him in the slightest.

Truth is, Jinan's life is a little more difficult than any other would think. He, like his litter mate and other sibling, had been born with a birth defect, making him completely deaf. Though he managed to read lips and, above all, body language, it wasn't easy for him to have a decent conversation with any other. He is learning, slowly but surely. Eventually he may be able to communicate without issue.

Today wasn't that day though, as he descended down farther into the land of tall standing pine and spruce trees. They litter the land, covering the loner lands beyond, along with other pack territory he'd rather not run into. He didn't know much about the others, but in time he will learn. He did know of Spirane, of course, the neighboring pack of his own. They somehow share the mountain side, even with a boarder line.

Jinan made his claim when his eyes caught sight of the opossum just ahead. A smirk laced his maw, ears rolling back against his head while he sniffed out it's tiny trail. Scents were his main focus when it come to hunting. He didn't always see the prey, but he could definitely smell before he did find it. He found it better to scent it before roving upon the thing he would hunt.

Just before he made his move, he noticed another wolf stalking on the other side of the fairly large rodent. Jinan's ears fell flat out beside his head in disappointment, before he turns to make his way into another direction. He had only made his way down that path a few strides when he caught the familiar, and thickly strong scent of Amutaq. Ears rotate forwards while he sniffs the cologne of his father, and then sneezing shorty after. He wrinkles his nose, his lip curling up over his teeth as he tried to eliminate and scrape the scent off of his tongue.

It was strong all right. The stench sticks to his nostrils as he grumbles in frustration, and then slumbering down his father's purposely made path. It isn't that he likes his father, of course, the annoyance has nothing to do with that. In fact, Jinan truly cares for his father. Sure, it's hard to express that for him, consider that he hasn't learned to speak properly, and he's having troubles with his actions, but what boy doesn't have problems with showing their father how they truly feel?

Jinan wants to impress his father, show what he's made of, and let Amutaq know that he come from the right genes. The boy does in fact resemble his father, and he wanted to be the wolf in the future as his father is today.
Today is his first hunting lesson, and Jinan was running late to start. He knew that his father's scents were a test, and he thought he had been doing pretty darn good at tracking the older brute down. When he did find the end of the trail, he realized he had only circled around the spot he had been at first, and found his father communicating with the wolf who had been hunting the opossum he had seen moments before.
Jinan stalks behind his father, a devious smile plastered on his maw. He moves swiftly, hoping he's at a quiet pace, and then leaps in attempts to tackle his father.
