Though Grim couldn't read Tristan's thoughts about his grandfather - and wouldn't have understood them even if she had - she knew that he was amused and that made her happy. Her gap-toothed grin could have lit up an entire castle as she swung Tristan's hand and, happy to fill him in, regaled him with the tale of the bath nymphs. Of course, with her vivid imagination, there were a few exaggerations and pretty obvious additions. Grim was rather a good storyteller, even if she did occasionally venture off-topic to offer such fascinating tidbits such as 'did you know that whales live in the water all the time, I bet they're awfully wrinkly!'. Though she would have really liked to dash about the armory to see everything she could, she made sure to stay close by Tristan's side as the young man put away his gear. Since he was content to listen to her, it seemed, Grim continued her commentary on anything and everything she could see, even peeking into the trunk for a second.

There were all manner of questions bubbling up inside her, most of them entirely unrelated to each other, but she was distracted when Celidon's massive head brushed against her. She was just reaching out to give him a pet when he let out a warning growl. Most children might have been afraid, or withdrawn their hand at the very least, but Grimbaud was either too brave or too silly to know better. Gisli had drifted nearer, but had been positioned herself in a way that she could see the growl was meant for the pup and not the girl.

"It's okay, Celly," she reassured him as he nudged her hand, petting his big head with a worshipful touch. Celidon was her new best friend, and she couldn't wait to tell everyone all about her big green pal. She gave him a kiss atop his head, then tangled her small hand in Tristan's with a look of complete trust.

The stairs took Grim a bit longer than they would have any other child her age, but her constant stream of chatter seemed to make the time pass rather quickly. She relied heavily on Tristan a time or two, leaning on his arm and smiling up at him even as she winced a little. Grim grew quiet as they reached the door, every line of her too-thin body tense with eager anticipation. When Nimueh answered Tris' knock, she squeezed Tristan's hand and beamed at him, her excitement making her eyes glitter. She slid inside the door when he opened it, her hands tangled together with a bit of uncharacteristic nervousness. That was soon forgotten at the site of Avalon.

"Bunny!" Grim squealed, she clapped her hands together under her chin. It was only Gisli's mouth at the back of her dress that kept her from bounding over in an attempt to pet the hare. Thankfully, such pursuits were forgotten when her eyes fell on Nimueh. Tristan was pulled into an enthusiastic hug and Gisli wove her hand through her familiar's hand, biting her lip shyly. Nimueh looked like an angel to her, a pretty, nice-smelling angel in turquoise, and Grim felt instantly at ease. Her smile was bright and cheerful, awe in her eyes, as Tristan introduced her. At Nimueh's offer for food, and clothes, the girl bobbed her head up and down eagerly. Gis gave her a gentle nudge, reminding her of her manners, and Grim spoke up.

"Yes, ma'am, pretty please!" she beamed up at the woman, her eyes falling to Nimueh's dress again with no small amount of wonder. "Did you know, that that is my second favorite color?" She beamed at the woman, her eyes crinkling at the corners, as she leaned forward to add conspiratorially (though in a whisper loud enough for everyone to hear). "Green's my favorite, like Celly-don!"
