At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Akuji

True beauty is something that attacks, overpowers, robs, and finally destroys.

Akuji's day had started out wondrously. He had caught himself a delicious hare, picking its bones clean, and had sated his hunger... for food at least. Soon after, he had traversed his was down the path that led to the lake, thinking merely to nap on the soft silt, allowing the sun to warm his pelt even as the cold earth pulled it from him. He loved such contradictions and such dueling emotions and feelings, so it was with a sadistic joyousness that he had come upon yin and yang twins. Two sisters who, though related by blood, could not be more different. One was raven black, sleek and yet weak and soft, the other pure as snow but seemed to be just as dark as Akuji himself. They were intertwined in a fight to the death, and when his appearance had ceased the battle, he had apologized, telling them to continue, he merely wished to be a spectator - and for a moment it had continued until another had entered the stage and stopped the fight. She proved to be a referee that put the gladiator's attacks on hold indefinitely.

The eboness had fled, followed by the timberess who had proved to be her protector, while Akuji had spent a few moments with the ivora, enjoying her cruel words and dark thoughts. She was amusing, to say the least, a good distraction from his own thoughts and feelings which he constantly sought to ignore. When she left him, he was irked, sure that once again he would not only be alone, but more importantly bored. The midnoon sun has just peaked and so it was at its warmest now... perhaps another nap was in order. But then his muds laid upon another ess nearby, raising herself from a nap, approaching the edge of the lake and lowering her maw to drink. His charming smile returned to his face and leisurely he approached her, silently waiting behind her for her to cease her action. His haunches lowered to the earth, and the slightest of smirks twisted his grin as her head began to raise. "How's the water today? I have always enjoyed the icy feeling as it travels down my throat. It is both refreshing and painful, an interesting twist on life."

Though he was well aware that she could, in fright or in rage of being interrupted, lunge out at him, he sat completely relaxed, waiting for her to respond. She was not his type - in that most others were not. He saw only other kalaks as equals... but all other breeds became his playthings. Entertainment to keep his days enjoyable and intriguing... and already he was making plans to decide whether she would be one of them.
