March is a tough month in this area. The weather sure does make the difference. If we had the ability to see what the weather would be like on any given day months ahead of time it would sure make it easier.
This topic does bring up an opportunity to discuss our first tournament date and also the rest of the schedule. Things like:
1. Best times to fish each fishery
2. Best fisheries that produce not only numbers but size
We all know that Back Bay can be really bad certain times of the year. Let's here when it is good, weather wise and fishing.
Chowan is a great fishery but in March last year it was horrible. When is the best time for the Chowan?
What is the best time of year for the NW? I know that it offers water levels for launching in the winter months and is fairly close for everyone. But is it better in April or May?
Same goes for all the fisheries in the area. We don't have to fish them all and we can fish them more than once if we want. All depends of what gives us all the best shot at having fun and enjoying the time on the water as a club.
