A tour? That sounded exciting! The young mare felt something flutter on the inside and although she had felt excitement before it was nothing ever like this. Perhaps it was just young filly hormones but whatever it was made her perk up and seem to shed any last shyness about her. “Yes!” she said, her tone carrying more of a higher pitch to express her excitement. Raising her ebony tail to flag behind her, Mera also raised her dished Arabian face as her brown eyes now shined with the excitement she expressed so vividly. “I would love a tour of your home! I love seeing new places.”

Shifting her weight from side to side, Mera nearly danced in place. She hoped that this was not a slow tour as it had been some time since she had run and now she was just itching too. She wanted nothing more than to find the sea, to crash through the waves as she went flying down the beach. A sudden ache for home flashed through her chest but was quickly chased away. Surely there was a good place to race here as well.

His question caught her off guard though and she tilted her head slightly sideways as if she were a curious bird. “Passing through?” she echoed before shaking her head. “I’ve only ever left Atlantis once in my life. This Island is my home.” Mera replied but she wondered how true that really was now without her family here. Maybe it was the youthful hope that made her think if she stuck around they would all eventually come back. But that hope was in vain as Xina never planned on returning again.
