Swallowbane can hear her request their presence. He knows she's asking for the family, but Bane doesn't know if he should go. There's so much hesitancy in his heart, something that doesn't really want to near... and yet he does. Slower, probably, than the rest of them. He knows that Sleekwing is around here, and Daeny, and probably Cael... not that there are others. Something about the beast forgets that life went on after he went away. He forgets that his parents probably did... did as parents do. The thoughts that fill his head are the ones that he's not sure he wants. Bane never wants anything like that to enter his head. He's still more than a little lost. Everything inside him hurts, and that's a problem. He's used to hurting, probably. Hurting had become his norm. It didn't matter so much anymore. There was a lot that didn't matter anymore.

He'd been spending a lot of time thinking. Thinking was a dangerous process, something that was enough to drive him out of his skull. Out of his mind, deeper into this state of... this state of... state of what? Just what was hard to tell. There was so much that was hard to keep track of in his head and in his heart. Not like it mattered much in the scheme of things. Bane was thankful for the stark unapologeticness that he had put together for himself.

He moved toward Orca's call, maybe slower than the rest. Eyes easy on the faces of the other creatures, the tall boy watching carefully. Carefully, if not coldly in the direction of the group that had gathered. Three interlopers stood with the group, no more than children. Swallowbane didn't speak, but moved to stand within a comfortable distance of the group. He didn't speak much anymore, to be entirely honest. No, Bane had changed. It was the mouth that always got him in trouble.
