At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Now My Watch Begins; It Shall Not End Until My Death

The brute had traveled around for a bit, looking for some peace and quiet from the busy life he had had for so long. Everything had changed though, and he had been forced to leave his family. Although he had never felt like he really belonged with his “family”. Could they even be called his family? The only ties that he had with them was that the alpha of the pack was his biological father, but as most of the other lupines reminded him he didn’t actually belong there. He didn’t belong anywhere. The pack he had been raised in didn’t bring in newcomers, no one ever came to them looking for shelter so he didn’t immediately think about going to another pack when he left home. So the brute was just wandering now, a loner with no home and no ties to anyone. Noone to care about him or look out for him, no one for him to care about or show any emotions for.

And this was the negative brooding mindset that the white lupine was when he approached the lake, just looking for some time for himself. But it appeared that he went to the wrong place for that. There were a few lupines at the lake already when he arrived, but they appeared to be mingling with themselves and not looking to bother him if he didn’t approach them, which was how he wanted it. The white brute didn’t mind being around others, he just wasn’t in a talkative mood or wanting to interact with anyone. But really when was he in a talkative mood? He didn’t think he ever was, except for when his younger sister was involved. Nymeria was the only one that really brought out the good in him and he hadn’t seen her in a long, long time. He could only hope that she was still alive somewhere, maybe with her older sister Lady. The two had left together with their father and he could only hope that the alpha of his old pack had kept them safe and sound, but he had no way of knowing. He scowled at himself at the thoughts of his little sister getting hurt.

The brute’s orbs caught sight of a teen waltzing into towards the lake, her pelt dirty and for a brief moment he thought it was his sister Nymeria. Her pelt was often a mess and dirty and that was just how she liked it. A rare smile crossed his kissers as he thought of his sister but after a second look he knew it was not the sister he longed to see. But still he watched her, curious to see what she would do with so many eyes on her. She went into the water, he presumed to clean herself, and he lost interest in her, gaze wandering away. The brute assumed that by not looking at anyone no one would approach him, but he was wrong. The female that had just entered the clearing and was now walking over to him, confusion clear on his face as she approached. He had done nothing to show that he was interested in her company so why was she heading towards him.

The femme sat next to him, her pelt dripping wet. He figured if he ignored her that she would just go away. He even inched away from her a little, making it clear that he did not want her company, but she didn’t let up, shuffling closer to him every time he moved. An annoyed scowl appeared on his features, but his orbs did not look at her and he remained silent. Sounds escaped her, ones that appeared to be of annoyance, as if he did not know her presence was there. Ghost continued to ignore the ess, wondering why she had chosen to need his attention. When she stood up and shook out her pelt, getting his sleek white pelt wet in the process a growl escaped him as he glared at her. She did not need to have done that so close to him and the brute was annoyed that she felt the need to fight for his attention. Finally words were exchanged between the two, both with an obvious sass to their voice, and he hoped that the femme would leave now, but she didn’t.

The brute’s stoic mask was back in place as he looked down at the younger female, wondering why she hadn’t left yet. ”I thought a nice bath would make you feel better. It’s plainly obvious that you haven’t groomed yourself in weeks. Are you allergic to water or something?” A slight chuckle left her throat as he snorted, knowing how untrue her words were. Even though the brute did not interact with others often he always looked good and made sure he was clean. Ghost knew that his coat was sleek and shiny and that it showed off his well-muscled form. Even though he did not flirt with females he knew that he was an attractive brute and he often caught the stares of others on him when he was passing by. And so the ess’ words did not phase him and he remained silent.

The female turned and faced him head on, rather than sitting by his side like she had been before. ”Are you going to be the grumpy all the time? You could at least tell a girl your name. Or shall I just call you moody pants?” He raised a brow at her words, a chuckle almost escaping his throat. She really did remind him of Nymeria and he missed her greatly and instead of the chuckle a sigh escaped him, a sadness appearing in his eyes for a moment. ”Ghost, my name is Ghost.” His orbs looked away from her for a moment, not sure if he would speak again before he turned his gaze back to the rambunctious teen. ”And what shall I call you?”
