The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Return to Lunar Children

insatiable love for the dead

The only thing that Achlys feels when the small wing comes to lay at her small paws is disgust. Not for the wing itself, but the fact that the stranger had the audacity to commit such a crime. Unjustly spoiling a perfectly intact specimen- it was barbaric and, therefore, disgusting. With disdain all too obvious across her features, it is with deft, youthful agility that she leans down to grasp her two remaining friends within her jaws, shooting a last unkind glance to the dark male, before turning to the black and gold boy. With an expression most changed from the one given just prior, her glacial gaze with its swirl of embers give the boy a most welcome gleam, a smile around the dead carcasses within her jaw. Her touch is one most gentle, and hardly a piece of fur or skin is moved upon either of them, just as she would always attempt to keep it.

Placing down her prizes at her feet, between the boy and herself, she gives one last glance behind her black shoulders at the male to have insulted the both of them. After a moment of her hard stare, her young voice found him, cruelty absent there but a promise lingering. "One would do well to be kind to strangers when one might never know the consequence." Idle threat or not, it was with a dignified confidence that Achlys scooped up her friends, bumped her dark shoulder gently into that of the boys as she passed him, body language inviting him to come with if he wished and for them to leave the older male behind. The black and white girl did hope that he did not follow, but if he did, well, they would perhaps just have to deal with it. Children, as they might be to him, were hopefully not of his interest and therefore they would find peace in their departure. But one could never know for certain until the other acted upon their own rights. And so it is with a wondering curiosity that the half demon girl hopes to find another place to lay and learn with her friends, with or without the boy that had found her.

If he so choose to partake and join her, she would be most pleased and eager to know what he thought of her friends and what he thought about death itself. She could not wait to ask him, and so glanced about to find him, her exotic gaze searching for his gold in the confines of the caverns, hoping to find him and with him share the world.
