Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR A BREATH OF LIFE

Maybe there is a possibility that some wolves can see beyond the current reality and into a dimenson that most minds cannot comprehend. Aithne did not believe that though nor did she really feel that it was a possibility. After meeting Ragnarok, a wolf who fought hidden demons in the form of live animals, and meeting Malikye, a wolf who claimed he was cursed and had to consume wolf flesh to sate his hunger, she had finally come to accept that crazy was just what it was. Some minds were not rooted into the body as they should be. The wiring was done incorrectly during birth, who knew? Yet meeting up with such wolves left her in a tight spot because Aithne is a firm believer in inner strength. Who was she to judge though when she had never lived a life in the paws of others? Her's had been tough enough in the beginning.

Scouting for new recruit was a delicate task the majority of the time. It would not be wise to bring the unhealthy back into Iromar to spread their disease and madness with the rest of them. Aithne is a lot more accepting and neutral than those she had met there but even she had limits. If Kneph was a risk to the life around him then she would leave him be; however, if he were to cause outright harm to another in the vicinity then Aithne would make it her task to 'put him down'.

She has every reason to be suspicious of him and to be wary. Despite him being a stranger, a stranger who seemed to see things not there and quiet, he was also a male. Aithne had begun to become more open with the males around here, more accepting, yet when faced with such weird circumstances she reverted back to her constant state of awareness. It was what had impressed Andras and had, ultimately, saved her from going fang to fang with the rest of the prejudicial males she had met. Sometimes a bit of brawn, a bit of fang, and a bit of intimidation worked.

Aithne watches him smirk, her eyes narrowing and the red rim around her right pupil standing out starkly against the obsidian of her fur, but she waits. No need to jump the gun here. Finally, he would talk! Only he didn't. He opened his mouth and a strange noise erupted causing her ears to flick back and eyes to widen before he dipped his head and looked at her. "Oh," she says finally, understanding quickly the nature of his affliction. When he gestures to her she dips her head in acknowledgement. "I am Aithne, Archduke of Iromar. I was hoping to find one who might seek a home in the marshes." There is a silent question in her eyes to match his, not quite asking him to come but curious of his stance. "I'd ask what your name is, stranger, but it seems that we might have trouble communicating." Now she smiles wryly at him, relaxing her posture, wondering how he ever shared his identity with others.
