In the midst of all of her excitement over finally seeing a familiar face, she never realized how uncomfortable Enderly may have been at her sudden change of heart. But even Sanguine didn't notice that her perspective had changed about her true father. Naamah had always tried to convince Samil that the girl was his to appease him and to quell his frustration toward the silver-tongue. It was only natural that Sanguine believe the same.
Somehow, the dark temptress had convinced the young girl to remain in Moladion after all and had spilled the truth of her true parentage. Excitement bubbled within the golden flecked pup at the truth before she set off back toward her home in the grotto and as she retraced her steps she could not find a single trail that occupied Enderly's scent in any place along the way. Her hope for having a family again was dying until now when he had found her again.
He finds a way to lower himself down into a sitting position as she remains within his protective embrace, the tip of her skull pressing into his chest as she peers up at him with wide eyes. Ears lace back for a moment as he speaks and her eyes are cast down before she replies.
"I tried to follow her.. but she wouldn't let me." It was spoken in a disappointed and broken-hearted tone as she looks back to him. Even her own father couldn't decode the great mystery that was her mother. How could she ever understand it?
Maybe some things just weren't meant to be.
Her thin tail begins to sway against the rock beneath their paws as he offers her a place to explore with him. Not just any old 'exploring' but doing so in a
whole new world. The thought had never seemed to be so appealing until now.
"Show me! Show me! I want to see what you've seen!" She yips eagerly and barely contains herself as she bounces up beneath his chest.
"When can we go?" She asks although a yawn soon precedes her question. It has been a rather rough few days and maybe she wasn't entirely ready for an adventure just yet.
