Winter is often a harsh and cruel season. After the first snowfall, a sick bull elk stumbled into the river that runs from Ruieze Lake to the eastern coast of Moladion and died. To some, this might look like an easy meal. To others, something to simply be ignored. However, it is much more than that.

This is the epicenter, the onset of a disease that is slowly sweeping across Moladion, having spread via the contaminated meat and water. While it is nothing but a common cold to some, it is fatal to others. At first, one might only feel drowsiness, weakness, mild nausea, even hot and cold flashes. One might simply disregard such symptoms. But then it progresses: joint and body aches, irregular appetite - ravenous or nonexistent, severe nausea, fatigue, a low fever. That is hardly the worst of it. In the most atrocious stage of the disease one may exhibit the most deadly of symptoms - including apathy or extreme aggression, respiratory upset, fever dreams, hallucinations, or a spiked fever. Every infection varies in severity and symptoms exhibited.

As the cold of winter becomes more detrimental, so shall the disease. Will you be one so unfortunate as to contract it, or are you blessed with immunity? Only time will tell.
