OOC

The place for a little bit of everything!
The OOC board is, well, multi-purpose! Members can post freely here and the majority of site-related content will be posted here as 'announcements,' while general chatting goodness is encouraged to take place over on our Discord server.

Plot-trackers and to-do lists can also be posted here. Events such as "Quarterly Highlight" nominations and voting, site-wide plots, Casanova nominations and site-wide changes (such as a rule update) will also be posted here. You may use the 'key' below to colour-code your posts!

DISASTER HAS STRUCK
IP: 118.93.174.123

Disaster!

Outline of the Plot:
During the first snowfall of the year, a large bull elk mysteriously fell dead in the river that runs from Ruieze Lake to the eastern coast of Moladion. Any wolf who eats the meat of this elk or drinks the water from the river will be the first of many wolves to be infected with a horrible disease.

Guidelines:
- This is a staff run plot that is completely opt in/out.
- The disease passes via immediate contact with the meat, water, or a wolf who is already infected.
- You may elect to have your character(s) be completely immune to the disease.
- Mothers who are sick and give birth will have a lower birthing health (but it will not affect the actual pup stats).
- It takes approximately one season for a wolf to recover from the disease.
- Remember to have fun! This can affect your characters/plots as much or as little as you want it to.

Symptoms:
There are three stages of symptoms. You are welcome to pick and choose from these symptoms, but are encouraged to work through the stages rather than going directly for stage three symptoms.

Stage 1:
- Drowsiness
- Weakness
- Mild Nausea
- Hot/Cold Flashes

Stage 2:
- Sore joints/general aches
- Increased or decreased appetite
- Nausea
- Fatigue
- Low Fever

Stage 3:
- Apathy or aggression
- Respiratory upset
- Delusions/fever dreams
- High Fever

The disease can be fatal if you elect to have it affect your character that way.

FAQ
Is the disease fatal?
Even though there is a disaster, LC still runs by the rule of no power-play. This involves staff and staff-run plots! So, whereas the disease can manifest itself as being lethal if, say, a plot calls for it, we cannot dictate whether or not your character will become deceased due to it.

So, does my character have to contract the disease?
Nope, once again! That would be unfair, especially on characters that people wish to play a very specific way such as alphas or imprints. Think of this as more of a site-wide plot device that can help cause or continue IC drama.

How long does the disease last?
Once contracting the disease, it can be expected that it will take around one season - four weeks - for your character to be completely healthy. Of course, you could also drag this on if you wanted to for plot purposes. Don't be afraid to cause some lasting damage! The infectious elk carcass and water in the river will end on the first day of Spring.

Where should I direct my unanswered questions?
