Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Coza knew some wolves out there might exploit his kindness. He wouldn’t be surprised but so far it seemed none that were like that lived within his pack. He knew they were out there though. The brute Zeus seemed to be such a wolf, wishing to take advantage of his kindness and get into the pack. Coza wasn’t positive but he got strange cues from the wolf to suggest as such. Perhaps in time he will indeed come back but Coszcotl for now was content with his tired conclusion that stormy night. Right now he had bigger things on his plate, getting this feast together then heading back to his home of Taviora. Just what he was doing now before he had crossed paths with the large, friendly brute before him.

It seemed Coza’s own lax demeanor was mirrored something that encouraged the large cream and brown brute to escalate his tail waving and dare to wander a little closer to the pure white male. If it wasn’t for his scent Coza would have guessed he was one of Diveen, perhaps a descendant of Heyel. But surely not, by his scent, strange way of speaking and how he just held himself he knew it wasn’t completely right. Angels just had this way of moving in a way the brute couldn’t explain. However at calling him is mate he was obviously befuddled by his words. Tilting his head and questioning. It seemed perhaps maybe he embarrassed his company with his words but really Coza never heard the nomenclature ‘mate’ used in such a manner.

As he explained that it could mean friend where he was from Coza was still decently puzzled by it, but he guessed he understood. Many words were used in ways they weren’t meant to be and while any still escaped his mind he supposed it wasn’t so farfetched to assume that maybe ‘Mate’ was indeed something. Regardless he was being called a friend rather than his lover or some such. It was good then. Though he wondered for a moment why he just didn’t say friend, strange English speakers.

Coza gave his name, dipping his head politely and waiting for Nakoda’s in turn. He still seemed friendly despite the little hitch in language that they just had. It was normal for Coza but he was aware some could be frustrated by such a thing. His thick accent or his lack of speaking properly as it were. Nahuatl was a very different language and he was lucky to have picked any of it up at all really.

”It is nice to meet you, Nakoda.” The brute said smiling brightly at the male’s introduction. He was happy he decided to share his name too, once or twice Coza had found that the other simply would not give up their names. Identity to some was special, but Coza respected their wishes and sometimes maybe would give them not so good nicknames when referring to them. Not mean just strange but sort of served them right in his mind.

”How long have you been walking in Moladion?” Coza questioned truly curious to the wolf’s explorations of the land, ”You have been safe since your arrival I am hoping?” Coza remembers his first days in Moladion, he had met Hush but he had also protected her from the dark wolf Tobias who would feed upon other wolves’ flesh. Nakoda seemed fine, but it never hurt to ask if the whereabouts of such wolves were known.
