Liquid still dripping down his maw and forming ripples over ripples in the refreshing pool, the stallion raised his eyes to the heavens. There was hardly any sky that compared to this, for the stars were countless in the desert nights, especially with the crescent moon's eye faintly open...leaving the stars to their own devices. This was perhaps his favorite part of desert life. Jasper was easy to mistake for a youth just by the way he carried himself.

The virile was not startled as the voice of another stallion (one of authority by the sound of it) pulled him from his reverie and back to the ground he was standing on. His eyes came to gaze over the bulk of a pale colored stallion with midnight tresses. Jasper did not hesitate a second to reply. "I suppose that depends on who is asking. Mother always said not to talk to strangers you know." While he wore a smirk and a bore a twinkle of mischief in his eyes, his voice was kipper and light and there was a spring to his spirit. He did not make a move towards the other stallion but remained where he was and even took another drink. Jasper could easily be perceived as a threat by his size and the fact that he was a stallion. But he made no gestures to appear threatening. It was not as though Jasper had any intention of stealing a mare or taking over the land (but with Jasper, who knew say for himself just what his agenda was?).
