'cause love is on the radio
There was something beautiful about winter. Maybe it was the way that the naked trees looked against the bright blue sky, or maybe it was the way that sunlight reflected off the stark white snow. There was something fantastic about waking up to see everything covered in a blanket of white. And Nord, the sweet, shy boy that he was, loved the way that the snow felt underneath his grey paws, loved the 'crunch, crunch' sound that accompanied every pawstep. The snow made him think of his old home up in the mountains, so different from where he lived now. But he was happier than he had ever been. Everything seemed to be right in the world and he absolutely adored the feeling of being
well.
Taviora was a lovely, calm place to live, and Nord afforded much of his happiness to the evergreens. There was something about
belonging that really stirred something deep within his bones. Happiness that had been tucked away in favor of nervousness and at times, abject terror. Getting rid of his stutter had been so incredibly freeing, that even when he tripped over his words sometimes, he hardly cared. Nord had improved, thanks to a variety of reasons, he was just... better. He had a purpose, a home, friends. There was really nothing to be sad about anymore.
It was winter that had drawn him out of Taviora, wanting to enjoy the beautiful lands of Moladion all blanketed in white. He jogged across the snow, his lanky legs carrying him easily across the terrain, fluffy fur bunched up against the cold. Nord was designed for weather such as this- summer, rather than winter, was the time when he felt most uncomfortable.
The river was a familiar place, somewhere he made a point to visit often. He padded up to the bank, and as affectionate of the cold as he was, Nord knew how silly taking a swim would be. Suddenly, he heard splashing sounds and he whipped his head around, fearing that someone or something was in danger of drowning. But no... he could make out the form of a charcoal and white wolf bathing himself in the water before pulling himself out onto the grass.
"O-oh no." Nord said to himself, quietly, before rushing downstream to help.
"A-Are you okay..?" Nord asked once he had reached the other male.
"Um... you shouldn't have gone in the water... it's very cold and you might get sick if you don't warm up soon." he said quietly, hoping that his help wasn't uncalled for. But he was a healer now, and though he had always possessed a certain care for others, it was now even more prevalent.
