The wide eyed wanderer had really settled into things. Iblis and Rhae were here, where they belonged, where she could protect them. The long legged creature couldn’t really keep them back should they roam, but she wanted everyone where she could keep them safe. That was all she wanted. Safety for her pack and for those in her life that meant the most. Family. Of course, she still had Alice and now Riddle was back and that was great, but she had a family here too. There were so many different definitions of the word, but she knew that Asteraia was her home. That was the best part of it all, the whole having a home for real. A place that she could always come back to, no matter what.
A star soaked sky hung easily at her back as she made her way across the ground. Winter stars, Ursa Major and Ursa Minor gone from the sky as were the bears from the woods… she hoped they would be back soon. Though winter had some sort of stark beauty to it, Delya liked summer far better. Heat and warmth and light, long days, those were her favorite thing in the entire world. This was different. Short days and a brisk cold, the long lope in her legs pushing her forward across the ground with a toss to her head. Delya generated more heat than light, at least, but she would have liked to be able to see the world around her more clearly.
Her eyes had adjusted over time, and it was enough that she had the moon and the stars. That, and the creature that she came upon had a pale coat against the moon. Knowing the shape that Fallacy had showed up in, Delya was thankful that she was getting better. The leggy creature had been dropping dead things near the injured woman’s den, leaving them for her to find, not wanting her to go hungry or stress out her just returning strength. Delya would try her best to make Fallacy whole again, come hell or high water.
She barked once. It was a low, friendly sound, one that was meant to alert the other female to her presence. Wouldn’t want to startle her. That would, in fact, be the exact opposite of what she wanted to accomplish. It would be, for lack of another word, bad. Instead, she moved closer and lowered her muzzle to the ground next to the woman. “You okay if I come sit?” Quiet words, gentle words from Asteraia’s beta.
