Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

It did not bother her that her time was split between Fenrir and Spirane for his was also split between her and the brothers he had spent a lifetime with. Yet now that they were creating a family together the thought of being apart from him became a bit more unsettling; no doubt he would find it too, for he had made it rather clear that he would be the kind of father she wanted. The kind she expected of him. Natu knew he would fulfill it but going about it with his older son in Spirane, the one who loathed him for his lack of parenting, would be a bit tricky. Daenery's was his family, adopted or no, and Natu could understand quite fully how she did not take to Fenrir due to her brother's dislike. It created a sort of predicament for them, both torn between duties and now united in a new one. But she knew, despite where her loyalty lie, that once they children were born things would have to change. If he would not be allowed to stay with her in Spirane then Natu would lift up her travelers paws, bide farewell to the mountains she loved so much, and they would seek a new refuge. That idea was a last resort, she thinks, and she is not sure what Sven would choose in such an instance. Above all, Sven was still her son. These would be more in her family and she would not lose Sven either.

Running had always been a freeing thing for Natu. She enjoyed the stretch of her muscles, a side effect from her years of traveling. The slopes of the mountains kept her fit and each day she was tested. Free running was a different sort of exercise though and she relished in the wind combing her face and caressing her.

The muted voice of her mate immediately draws her attention and she angles sharply to her left to head towards his voice, her tail already beginning a swift sway back and forth over her haunches. The sight of his ebony figure drives her joy into even higher peaks, her pale eyes glowing and her body coming to a swift halt before him, rocking back onto her hind paws so she did not ram into him. Not that she figured Fenrir would mind much, he was quite larger than her and could take it.

"My heart," she replies to him and steps forward to place her maw beneath his in a caress, breathing in his woodlands scent and enjoying the way her fur looked so bright next to his before pulling her head back in a rush and grinning. "I am indeed, Fen. I am quite well."

Now she spins to the side, reaching her head back around towards her stomach that, to one who has not seen it in a while, did look quite a bit more strained. She has no idea, really, that Fenrir has already guessed her news. She is so overcome with the rush of excitement once more for she has longed for this day for many many seasons, for a time to nurture, a time to be over-cautious and over-protective. Losing two children before would make Natu worry more for the ones she had now, no doubt, but Fenrir was nothing like her first mate. He was a rock, a shadow, ever changing when needed and ever present as well; he would not abandon her. "Fenrir... We are to have children."

The words are hushed in reverence to this moment, her eyes shining so brilliantly while she lifts her smaller muzzle up to look at his face, to memorize the moment when he would reveal his own joy, for their passion had created a family together and to Natu nothing meant more than family.
