Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Cae.
male - four - Iblis x Rhae - Knight of the Mountain - soul of Dessa

He had no reason not to; thus, when his pale paws began moving him toward the dark female, the Knight of the Mountain did not resist. From the moment his mismatched gaze had truly focused on her, his soul had recognized her for what she was. What his Mother was to his Father, the stranger was to him. His imprint, his other half- but the boy could not know if she was to be his life bond much like his parents. Some wolves were fortunate enough to find both their heart and soul intwined in one, and some were not so fortunate. There was a moment of pause the last time the female glance back before moving away from the group with a prize in her jaw, and though Cae knew she saw him, she still went to go. There was a slight ache in reaction to the gesture of such aloofness, but the pale male could not entirely blame her. Some wolves were not keen on the matter of imprinting, but, because he was Iblis and Rhae's son, manners were well developed in him. And born of such a strong imprint bound, he could not deny his very souls very own call.

He kept his posture passive and hardly aggressive in his approach, for it was obvious with the way her body was that she was well on guard. Muzzle low to the ground and tail almost tucked between his back legs although not quite so, the young adult male watched her with curiosity and a fascination he had never known. While he had made some friends thus far in his life, this feeling, the elation, the singing of his very soul was something entirely different and unexpected to him. He had known his parents held a love unlike any other- but was it anything like this? And if it was, was it just his Father to feel this way, or his Mother also? They were imprints, yes, but every wolf knew it pertained more to the male than the female if anything. But was the dark stranger drawn to him in any way, like he was to her? Cae could only know if he asked, and so, with a gentle wave to his lowered tail, the creme, chocolate and russet coloured wolf made his approach. He came from her front, so as not to startle her, and politness dictated he stop at least five or more feet from her, giving her more than enough space and even more so if she wanted it. It would all depend on her reaction to him, and even while she may very well growl and snap at him, Cae would not move, or even flinch.

If his soul wished harm upon him, he was not a wolf to deny her such a thing. They had only just laid eyes upon one another, yes, but he would sooner lay his life down for her than anything else become of her. He did not yet know her name, but she would give it to him if she so pleased, and so he gave her the only thing he could currently. And when he spoke, his voice was on the quiet side but there was a wamrth to it, a longing that had not ever been there before. And it surprised even him, his mismatched eyes growing only slightly wide after the fact. "I am Cae." He hadn't even said hello, but who could blame him when faced with such.. intensity? For while the wolf before him was beautiful, there was also something of a .. feral quality to her, or at least that was what he saw. A wolf of cunning and power and one who would not so easily give in to others, and Cae found himself drawn even further to such a thing. His Mother, after all, was a giant of a wolf and one who possessed much strength and finesse, and while she did not flaunt it, it was something he had grown accustomed to. And to see it in his own imprint, well, it was really only something that could add to such a thing. Patience was easily found as he waited for her words, for while he did feel the want to announce his imprinting- he also knew there was no need. She would just know who he was, just as he knew just who she was, even if names were just being given.

Or, in her case, about to be given. Cae was hopeful, but she might very well deny him, especially in the midst of a meal. A meal which made the wolf's stomach queasy, for while he had spent only a few years a nomad, both of his parents had spent most of their life as such. And at that- Rhae was from the far North, where such sickness in the land and animals was a common thing. Long ago he had learned the tell tale sign of a sickness not meant to approached, the meat his soul was hungrily devouring reaked of such a thing. But hunger was hunger, and he would not take such away from her. But he could.. try, should she not try and drive him off right away; he could try and tell her of such a thing, to try and help her, if she allowed it. So many things depending, and yet mismatched eyes of teal and mahogany watch the dark one with a patience and warmth most kind, a certain eagerness there as well to the simple fact of her being there. Again, they had only just met, but the Knight of the Mountain could not help the urge to go to her, to touch her, to feel her and know she was wholly real, if nothing else. But time would tell for them where their future might lie, starting with her first decision of him; for it truly was all up to her at this point. And Cae would not have it any other way.

"May I have your name?" He forgets himself, but he also catches himself. It is very much unlike him, but, when one finds their imprint, sometimes they are very much not the wolf they were prior. But it was yet to be seen how it would pain out, and with a certain shifting of his weight from one paw to the other, he waits with a patience seemingly bursting with excitement, for how could he react in any other way in the face of his soul for the first time.
