Skylar was not blind to how mother and son reacted to one another. It saddened her really to watch how Alibi rejected the boy and how he had even acted towards her when she had not given him the attention he had requested. The fate of his mother had not been the boy's fault despite how much Alibi seemed to place it on him. Perhaps it was her fault instead since she had not given Alibi the comfort she had wanted to make peace with what had happened.


"I know" Skylar replied, pulling back into her own space when Alibi rejected the touch. "But how will you ever know that I am willing to try to earn it if I do not tell you?" She said before turning away slightly. "I can see that you are not comfortable with me and so I will leave you alone." Skylar sighed. "Should you change your mind, I won't be leaving the Peak again for quite some time." With that, Skylar sadly took her leave. Should she see the colt alone while he was exploring Skylar would give him the rightful attention he deserved, but not right now. Not when she had been focusing on Alibi.
