Winter's frozen teeth had bitten into Wolf Mountain hard as ever, and while some of its residents found themselves more and more sluggish, the cold made Feist feel alive. She had always preferred winter, and when she inhaled the frosty breath of the season she felt invigorated. This much was obvious, considering the bounce to her step and the bright look to her pale eyes. The three-time mother had maintained a slenderness to her pretty, feminine frame, though with the cold her pretty wolf-gray and cream fur had thickened, giving her a fluffier appearance.

Currently, the bouncy husky was making her way along a path some distance from the frozen river, accompanied by her absolute favorite companion, Calypso. The winter not only had Feist feeling more lively, but a little more cuddly, as well, and she padded close beside the ginger fem who had so thoroughly written her name on Feist's heart. Certainly, she and Calypso had had their ups and downs, but they had been tested by fire and come out stronger - or so Feist believed, anyway.

Wordlessly she padded beside Calypso, smiling lightly, her flopped ears alert and her pink-and-brown nose twitching as she took in the various scents around her. Calypso, kindly, recognized her hunting abilities as "capable"; Feist wasn't as sure, being a domestic dog for most of her life before Wolf Mountain. But she was confident with Calypso, and her sure-footed stride implied as much. "Should we try for some fish?" she asked, her question genuine, if perhaps naive.
