Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Perfection is a Disease

Fear drove her onwards. But her mind was dead of all thoughts. Of all hopes. Every soul she knew had turned on her. She held nothing, for no-one. Life was dull, even her brightly coloured coat had lost its spark.

The pressure on her side was not a supporting comfort. Quite to the contrary it blinded her in fear. She wanted to get away from it, but had no where to go but forwards.

The Lagoon boundary loomed, and in seconds it flew past. The stench, the mud, the lagoon and all of its inhabitants behind her. For a moment she revelled in it as she ran. No longer would her hooves be sucked down by mud, and her body forced upon by stallions she didn't even know. This stallion may be chasing her, his body forcing hers to run faster than her legs could carry her. But she was free, at least for a moment.

Mikhail and his horrid lies were gone for now. She didn’t know what lay before her, but she knew what lay behind her. For the first time in her life she wanted change, she believed that the unknown was better than the known. Besides, it’s not like she had a choice.
