This morning I noticed a number of dead shad floating in my chippewa channel ~ nothing like back on the 1st week of November when the channel bottom was silver w/shad...
This fall -Oct/Nov- was very good for Saugeye numbers caught on the Northside channels by banking it w/jigs...
Next year when you look North from the Chippewa launch ramp my channel will look different than in the past...
Roger built & sold the 2 story home on my southside & last summer bought the old Snodgrass property across the channel from our two homes. Roger cut down some of the old maples around his home, removed the old boathouse, had a new concrete seawall installed along the full lenght of his property & just last week torn-off the south-end Florida room on the house - he told me he plans to build a new garage & what he does on the home is still a lil' in the air... so it will be a new view up the channel for sure
