Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Return to Lunar Children

miles to go before i sleep;

miles to go before i sleep;

Sleekwing was hardly surprised by Astrid’s reaction to his flinging the water in her face. In fact, he had been expecting as much, and thus plastered a dashing smile across his features even as her volatile reaction exploded forth. For a moment he lingered, watching as her words cut short when she realized it had not been her brother antagonizing her, but instead the heather streaked warrior she’d only just met. He offered her a single wink before turning and darting off back towards Hollowpoint, splashing about in the pond and enjoying his companion’s youthful bliss. Every once in a while he would shoot a gaze towards Astrid, watching the way she recovered from the surprise even as he engaged in further play with Hollowpoint. Only when she relaxed once more after shaking the water from her fur did he fully devote his attention to his comrade in tomfoolery.

Distracted as he was by the ignorant bliss of such amusement, he hardly even noticed when they began to edge back towards the shore where Astrid looked on idly. It was only in the last instant before impact that he caught the splash of her leaping through the water. A single ear flicked towards her and he glanced in her direction in time to see her form collide with his. Surprise took hold of his features, eyes widening slightly but a laugh quickly following as she bowled him over. There in the shallows he tumbled to the side before stumbling and falling backwards, paws splayed over his chest as she landed on top of him. The water reached up to cover his ears, but his face managed to stay above water. Laughter echoed in the air, both from Hollowpoiont as well as Sleekwing and he smiled up at the shewolf, glad his former antics may have played some part in getting her to join in on the fun.

Only when she stood up was he able to rise, good heartedly shaking out his fur before romping about and nudging his shoulder first against Astrid’s, then Hollowpoint’s in turn. He felt as if he had found two new friends this day, and he hoped that this would not be the last he saw of them. “With speed like that, they will be most certainly thankful to count you in their numbers at the hunt – I have no doubt of it,” he said to Astrid as he made his way back to shore. Once more he shook out his pelt, flinging as much water out of his pelt as he could. Standing still he glanced between the two siblings who he had promised to show the way to the meeting point for the hunt. While he was certain that Hollowpoint could easily regale him for hours to come, he knew that he needed to get home soon. So he bided his time upon the shore, watching the siblings for a moment and waiting for them to join him there.

Once they had extricated themselves from the pond, he grinned genially and motioned for them to follow him. “I will show you a place along the rim of Mecor Valley where you can meet the alpha of Taviora before the hunt.” Only when they were ready to join him did he begin to make his way away from the pond and begin heading north. It was then that he gestured to the west, towards the omnipresent peaks of Spirane. “If you ever wish to visit Spirane, you are more than welcome there. I hope this is not the last that I see of the two of you.” He smiled at these words, counting Hollowpoint and Astrid among his small list of friends, and truly hoping that he might encounter them both again sometime in the not so distant future.
