Ragnarok wasn’t slow it was simply hard to put something together when it was something you never expected in your life. He never imagined with his purpose that he should or could become a father and now that it was here before him he was of course happy though tendrils of worry had yet to set in. For the moment he was so excited and happy for her, for them. He poked and prodded her as it came to him though, so excited for the prospect that she was having puppies and they were having children in just a few short months. They needed more room! They needed to clean the den! There was so much to do and so little time to prepare! It dawned on him then he knew nothing about raising kids.

It was taken away though as she bounced forward nipping and licking at his muzzle only eliciting his own barrage of nuzzles and soft licks around her own face as she confirmed to him what he had stated. He still couldn’t believe it! How he hadn’t noticed or how he hadn’t really ever thought about being a father before. ”It is hard to believe, little light, I never thought I could be one.” Perhaps he still couldn’t it hit him then that perhaps his destiny be shared, or passed to them because he no longer was tormented by the demons that sought release. They would turn his children into the next gate keeper. His heart sank and perhaps his face did but Church his light was so happy and he was happy just concerned for their well-being.

”We have a lot of work ahead of us then. We have to clean the den and tell Daenerys as well as the healers! You must be seen to and kept healthy after all! I will see Miss Niviaq first thing. Will not have anything happen to my heart soul.” He said happily before pausing. Well they were not really mates… were they? He hadn’t thought of the old male who had simply turned letting Church go and while Ragnarok was grateful he remembered that really the title of mate… or Ex-mate he supposed now belonged to him still. Ragnarok never brought up the topic of being her mate as well as soul since as he worried it was something that still hurt her even if he knew it was true to him.

Should he say something? He wasn’t sure he stood there looking a bit abashed while he waited for her response to his happiness to his words. She knew being left so fast by Neirin had caused her pain but they were parents they were together and he loved her above all else. ”Church? I-do you think? Can we- Will you be mate?” He asked then almost regretted it immediately. He didn’t want to hurt her, but in light of this news of them together and with Neirin gone he supposed he wanted her to be his mate. They were going to be parents so perhaps it was proper but he wasn’t sure if she was ready or if she even considered them being both mates and imprints.
