PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

The Battlemaiden

RAGNFRIDR.

Ragnfridr never felt more alive than in the short time she'd learned to call the Peak home. While for all intents and purposes, she didn't outwardly like the other warrior who'd be the first to meet her, she developed a strong sense of respect for her. They were kindred spirits, and they spoke the same language; there were only a select few who understood what it meant to be strong; who knew what it meant to actually push and shove when necessary. Usually, such behavior was reserved for stallions and lead mares (and mares who wanted to be lead mares), so when someone so similar lived among the Peak, Ragnfridr immediately found love in her heart for the mare.

..Still, that didn't mean she had to like her.

She continued to ponder what the future might hold for the pair of them, when a noise caught her attention. Her ear flicked and her head turned so that her green eyes may follow. She stood among one of the many ledges of the peak. Her chosen perch was a bit lower than some of the others; for a mare as proud as Ragnfridr, one would think she wanted nothing more than to assert her unquestioned dominance and status to chose the highest perch possible... The truth was, the ever proud battle maiden was nervous in these peaks. One step or slip could end very badly for her, and that was not a death she wanted. She feared the eternal end very little, but the way in which she departs mattered very dearly to her.

The form of a chestnut mare came into her vision, and Ragnfridr turned from where she stood to scale down the small path until she were more leveled with the newcomer. She circles around a large bolder-like stone and there the stranger was once more. Ragnfridr tossed her head back and whinnied loudly to call to the mare, ears pointed forward. For the moment, the mare kept her distance until the call was returned. The returned call could very well set the tone for how Ragnfridr approached.
