I don't usually weigh in on topics but I think this is important. First off, we do have some great water within 15 minutes of my house and that's a plus, but, as my old partner once said, there are guys that have them "dialed in" and they consistently take home the cash. I still consider myself a beginner, though and when I fish other water, I'm always trying to learn something new. It doesn't matter if I have a good bag or not. One of my favorite days on the water was when we fished the Yeopim. I must have made 3-4 hundred casts without so much as a bump. With an hour left, I figured them out. Even though I had a small bag, I felt like I had won the tournament. Yeah, I'm a bit weird, but that's what I like about fishing these other waters. My two cents worth!
