Ok I’ve been thinking of some ways that I could help out. Running a tournaments probably isn’t the best option right now because indoor does not warrant much profit and there is no complex right now that would let me use their fields. David Potter brought up a bat raffle and that he would help run it if we could get some bats donated. I have 2 NIW Easton’s that I’ll gladly donate. Most bat raffles run numbers 1-100, they sell 100 tickets and they raffle off the bats. I don’t want to put a limit on this bat raffle as I KNOW we as a community can sell more than 100 numbers. So what I am going to do is tickets will be $10 a space. No one will choose a number I will just add everyone’s name to a list, so if you get 5 numbers you owe $50 and your name will randomly be placed on the list 5 times. We need to come up with an end date, and we can do the drawling on random.org or I can write these names on a piece of paper and put them in a bucket and draw at someone’s fish fry. These key is will be PayPal, having the money sent to me will be huge in how successful we can make this. If anyone else is willing to help sell spaces and wants to collect, and we set a date to meet and I can collect from everyone at once that would be great. So let’s say Jan 10 at Donnie Brewers fish fry will be the end date where we will draw the numbers. If anyone would like to help send me a text message and I can explain anything you might not understand. There’s ZERO cost in this so 100 percent of the proceeds will go to help the Millers out in any way they need.
