Time continued all around, and within Asteraia, the wolves of the plain thrived. There were a few expecting Mothers come Spring, and Rhae could not be happier with such a notion. Children she had much experience with, and she was a rather maternal type to all in general. Especially concernig her pack members, her very family. Come Spring, her children would perhaps have more siblings to have and know, and she and Iblis more lovely sons and daughters. They would know when the time came, but, for now, her sides were content to swell and make her already large frame even more larger. With such size came an equally large appetite, and she was out this particular sunny Winters day in search of a morsel or two to snack upon. But distractions are rising when the wind brings her several scents- one of which she has not found in years. Large, mostly creme paws bring her frame atop a slight rise and allow her bright teal eyes to take in the fourm of four young wolves. All of which she knows and loves very much- but one redhead in particular teal eyes drink in like liquid honey. How long it has been, she does not know, but to see her first born daughter so alive and well, so tall and so grown and so.. Gaia. Joy spreads across her handsome features, even as she has eyes for Isolde, Lucero and Delya in turn, even in her approach nudging the shoulder of each one. But ultimately, she comes to stand before her daughters and her son, little Isolde so similar to her older sister Gaia that it warms Rhae's heart. The words of the youngsters had been lost on the wind to the older earth toned wolf, but she was wise and knew enough that her youngest would not know her oldest. Lowering her large muzzle down so that she may look evenly upon Isolde, her gentle and strong tones explaining. "Isolde, this is Gaia, your sister. She and your brother Cae were born almost five years ago in the moors of Iromar." Even as her words draw on, her eyes cannot help but to glance up at Gaia. For truly, it has been far too long. Looking to Isolde in hopes that her explanation had served his purpose, only then was Rhae content to pull up and away and finally move to embrace her eldest daughter, her large frame easily tucking in the smaller red one of Gaia. She wondered if Iblis would be able to see her, but, for now, was content to share in these moments with her children and Steward, who was never forgotten for all in Asteraia were kin and family. Rhae wondered how Gaia would take all of this- her Mother and Father leaders of a land all their own, with an ever growing and gathering extended family to go with it. Curious teal eyes watched and waited with a calm and pleasant joy to them. How lovely it felt to have a child home again, even if only for a short while. |
