Calypso got as close as she possibly could to the other female, trying to offer whatever warmth she could. She was freezing herself, but the vampire hardly cared about that right now. The only thing on her mind was keeping Feist safe. Her family was gone, Strider was gone, Wayne was gone, and she wasn't going to let Feist go very easily. No, she wasn't going to let her go at all. For better or for worse, the husky had found herself a wolf who would do just about anything to protect her.

Even Calypso recognized the irony of her being a vampire- she had recognized it the day she began living with Feist. Though they were something like kin, the ginger wolfess never felt anything but disgust for Fang. They weren't similar in any way. Calypso didn't think herself a monster, and she hoped that Feist didn't either- though their closeness probably confirmed that she didn't.

Calypso's eyes narrowed slightly at the stuttered apology, unsure of how to feel. "Shut up." she growled in a low voice, dragging her pink tongue vigorously over Feist's smaller body, trying to warm her up as much as she could. Her fear of loosing Feist manifested into an angry, brooding, depressed feeling and Calypso absolutely hated it- it was a feeling that was so foreign to her, she didn't know how to react. "I didn't mean that. I j-just... I..." she trailed off, feeling more uncertain than she had in a very long time.

"I almost lost you." Caly said finally, her voice uncharacteristically timid. "I've lost a lot of people but I promised myself I'd never lose you and I almost did."
