Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.
Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

_________________________________________________________________________ Running into this femme was not going as he first thought it would. What he originally thought to be a newcomer wanting to join his pack turned out to be a femme that just wanted to cause trouble. A unique, but very pretty, femme that clearly was here for other purposes. Purposes that Summer would make sure to find out. But he did not trust her or the flirtatious words that came out of her mouth. It was clear that she knew that she was good looking and was attempting to use her looks to get her way, something he was sure had worked on others in the past. When he growled a warning to her she merely giggled, but did step back outside of the borders, so he supposed that was good, even though he could tell she was not taking him seriously. "A bit touchy, aren't we? You haven't been Alpha all that long, Summer, yet already you run it while atop an Iron Throne." His yellow orbs bore into hers, watching her as she once again drew closer his borders. "I have been acquainting myself with your family tree for the last few weeks, seeing who would be best up to the task... well I haven't told you that yet, your charm, babe, is getting me ahead of myself." What did her words mean? How was she finding out about his family? They were all dead, he was the only one left that could tell about his family, wasn’t he? The brute knew that he shouldn’t let a random female like her get to him, but when it came to his family he didn’t know what else to do. Did her words mean that they were alive? That some of them had survived the slaughter that had taken so many of the lupines that he had loved? ”What do you mean? Acquainting yourself with who exactly?” The smoky brute’s body was tense as he waited to hear what it was that Shae had to say about his family. What could this kalak possibly know that he did not? He told her he wanted to hear the good new first, knowing that she was continuing to play games with him. She winked at him as her next words came out in a purr, "I can think of more than one way to put you in a good mood, Handsome, and not all of them require words. You look so tense, I'm sure I could loosen you up..." Summer did not let her words affect him in the way that she wanted them to, his orbs just stared at her, showing no emotion, just waiting for her to get to her point. She sighed, pouting, before finally continuing, "I suppose I have ruined that option with you - talk of your estranged family is not good for foreplay apparently. Very well, the good news that you so desire is that your family has been extended further." Her words did not process with him at first, how could this be? His yellow orbs just continued to stare at her blankly, waiting for her to explain further. "Your darling sister, Lady, is with child and is due to whelp her pups any day now. Congratulations, you are an uncle. However, the bad news dulls that considerably seeing as how your sister came into such a position. It is with sadness that I report that she was seduced and then raped." Words that should have brought him joy only brought anger, an anger he had never experienced before. Not even when his parents were murdered, he had never felt rage like this before, and he did not know how to process it. A furious growl, quite unlike anything that had escaped his maw before, came from deep within. A bloodlust to hurt and kill the one who had done this to her came over him. He would not be satisfied until the one who had hurt his little sister was dead at his own paws. ”Who did this to her?” His words were spoken softly, fighting to stop himself from running off and finding Lady himself. He had to find out what had happened. "Easy there, Sparky. Don't make me change my mind about you" Summer’s anger was directed at her and he growled a warning at her, fur bristling as she approached his once more. The last thing he needed was for him to react badly and attack this stranger. He stiffened, but did not back away, as she whispered in his aud, "Lady... is not going to survive the birthing. I know this, you know this. Her frame is too slight, her body is too dainty, she is too weak. Her pups will be orphaned and torn away from family. That is, unless you prove to be who I have deemed you to be. I thought that they should grow up with family. With you. I have a deal in mind to make with Lady's pack Alpha which will allow me to take her pups and bring them to you." Summer did not want to believe her words, did not want to admit the truth to them. He should be able to save her, he was her big brother, he should be able to protect her and stop the evil of this world from harming her. But he had not been there for her, he had been cruelly torn away from her and he had not been able to protect her. With a smile Shae backed away and sat down, how was it that she was finding some pleasure in this ordeal? ”Why are you doing this? What do you gain from bringing my family back to me?” The brute did not trust the smile upon her features, he did not trust this femme in the slightest and he knew there was must be something for her in it, or why else would this stranger do this for him? ________________________________________________________________________ |
