I always say its hard to say who is the greatest of all time. Different generations comes with different attitudes with training and also different styles of racing. People from the 80's were much faster then my generation of racing. And my generation was faster then the 90's and the 2010's generations are faster then that of the 2000's. As far as indivdual talents also factor in city sections back in the 80' and early 90's was the same day as kenny footlocker nationals. So we'll never know what roman or any other city runners from those generations could have done if they ran at nationals. Also when it comes to titles alot of fomer city champions they have mutiple city champions and records so its hard to say who is who and better then who. I always say who was best runner in the era. The eras i say are as followecd. 80s, 90's, 00's, 10's , 20's etc. So long story short.... stop comparing eras and just accept that there is always gonna be great talents in each era and respect those before during and later on.
