Fate always seemed keen on entertaining itself with the soul of a Demon and soul of an Advisor to the Angels. It was true Vera did not use this bond to her advantage, nor did she have any desire to. In fact , the last time her Yojimbo and herself had come face to face, the result was the bulge within her side. And so when his scent finds her and her intent gaze makes out his chocolate fourm in the mist, she is quick upon him. For while she would be kind and warm in her welcome, others of the swampy moors would hardly be so just. Although her frame is engorged, her paws are silent as they deposit her beside him and she is able to push her muzzle against him, between his leg and his chest, successfully nuzzling his armpit. Her growls are one of a pleasant tender quality, for truly, the she Demon is happy in his presence. And not only that- her keen wolf nose has of course picked up on the meet within his jaws.

But there are other, more important matters on paw, and it is shown with the ripple along her sides and sudden tensing of the muscles. Perhaps it is because their Father is near that the little ones now wish to make themselves known, but their Mother can hardly deny them. So with swift certainty, she leads her Yojimbo back the way she had come and into the hidden depths of the marshes where her den lay. It is tucked enough away that no other will perhaps find them, unless knowing the swamps better than she, but the flamelicked one is a confident Demon. But she permits her Yojimbo to join her- even enter the den with her if he may be pleased by such a thing, while she made herself comfortable to begin what process may.

It did not take long to bring the two little young sisters forth and to the conscious world, and though it was not her first it was wearing and tiring all the same. But her soul and other half is there with her, and with him sustenance and life, and it is with hungry and eager gratitude that the Mother finally falls upon the gift he had brought her. The taste is indeed one new to her, or if tasted before at least forgotten- and there is pleasure in her low, grateful growling. With crimson staining her already black muzzle, she looked from Yojimbo to the daughters at her belly; one black and one brown, boasting each of their parents, the brown one a lovely and splendid perfect mixture and the black one inheriting her Mother's finesse. Though the first was not entirely correct to Demon heritage, there was pride there all the same, pride and love and curiosity as she turned back to the chocolate male so near and finally spoke her soft and delicate words, reserved only and just for him.

"What might you name them, my moon and stars?"
