Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

And its consequences keep you up at night.

There is no love, just appetite.
And its consequences keep you up at night.

When Kasabian arrived in The Lost Islands as a younger stallion, he was nothing. He was a vagabond, a soul who drifted through the peak years of his life almost completely unnoticed. He didn't care about the weight his name carried among the others islanders. When he returned, his priorities shifted. He wasn't a drifter anymore. He had a permanent home, and he had something to prove. But those days were behind him. It was a learning experience, if nothing else. Kasabian was reminded of his worth and what he was good at. Being a band stallion just wasn't one of those things.

The buckskin stallion was lingering under a grouping of naked trees, scratching an otherwise unreachable part of his back against one of the thin plant's trunks when the scent of another wafted to him in the breeze. Golden lobes rotated back and then forward atop his head before the bellowing voice of a thicker-bred animal was announced. Emerald eyes focused on the grey stud striding toward him. He did not seem particularly aggressive, but having been a member of this group before, Kasabian stood tall, raising his frame from leaning against the tree, in case there was any need for him to defend himself.

"I'm looking for Rade." It was a line he'd said before, in a situation not much different than this. Kasabian did not know Rade. They had met only once before. He could not pick him out in a crowd. He knew nothing of the stallion outside of his position within the Lagoon. But at the time, Rade had Pilar and Kasabian needed her back. Enough time had spanned since the day she left to now and he didn't know if she was still here.

Rade was barely a blip on his radar. Despite being generally jovial by nature, Kasabian had no alliance, nor a care in the world, for the golden roan stud or any of his cronies. All he knew was that he belonged here and could be useful to someone like Rade, if needed. He hesitated for a moment longer before extending his neck, soft-skinned nostrils flared, and returned the offer of breathe. "I'm interested in rejoining the ranks."
