Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

'Confused' was a kind word to describe the russet wolf. Renegade wasn't sure if it was really love that he felt for Istas, or if he was simply in love with the idea of Istas. The ghostly brute was nice and provided comfort and attention, but he could get that from anyone if he really wanted to. Maybe there was something... more here. But he would never voice that, especially because he didn't want to believe in it himself. Falling in love again would just be a recipe for disaster, but it rarely happened because you wanted it to. Love was a peculiar beast in that it often appeared out of nowhere with no warning- it hit you like a charging bull and spun you around like a whirlpool. It was unpredictable, it was raw, and frankly, Renegade wanted nothing to do with it.

But at the same time... every time his crimson eyes laid upon Istas the brute felt a familiar feeling stir in his heart. As much as he tried to quiet it he simply couldn't. So he would just try to ignore it, and try to just enjoy what he had. "Always." Renegade said with a chuckle, his tail giving a small wag. "Well, I guess you'll see soon." he mused.

Renegade couldn't help but roll his eyes as Istas spoke of his 'methods' so to speak. "I don't just insult, even if it is fun. I know how to sweet-talk too. Figured you of all people would know that, Istas." The brute finished with a toothy grin to match the other's, unable to stop his tail from wagging. Truly he had missed this sort of bond with another wolf. It got lonely when you had no one to talk to, not just small talk, but really talk to.

Renegade laughed again, rubbing his muzzle against Istas's side as the other pressed against him. "Mhm, I'm sure ya would." he said teasingly, though the feeling was certainly mutual. It wasn't like he had much else to do anyway, and Ren couldn't think of anything better than spending time with his... companion.

He nodded as Istas began to explain his mission, his gaze turning from playful to a bit more serious. It had been a long time since he had put his skills to use, and though he was more of a thief of goods and wolves than of information, he could still offer some advice. "Yea, I did hear." Renegade affirmed, following Istas's gaze towards Taviora. "Well, y' shouldn't count it out. 'S unlikely, but still possible." the russet brute said with a small shrug. "Stranger things've happened."
